    • It's a lovely bag and you're worth it.
I fell in love with this bag at a retail store in my home town. It was $400 and I was hemming a hawing over spending that much money. My husband said "Just buy it" (and get this over with). I didn't. Even though we can afford it, I didn't want to spend $400 on a purse when I could donate it to a needy family over the holidays. I tried to put the bag out of my mind (after all, it was only a purse) but I found myself obsessed with it and went to check out the Dooney site to see if there were any better deals -- I figured if I could find one for less, I could donate the difference to someone in need. I went online and found this lovely bag at half the cost and spent another three or four days agonizing over it. I finally ordered it and wrapped it up -- and then bought $200 worth of gift cards for a needy families. After using it for a week I can tell you that I love it! The strap is long enough to wear cross-body style if you prefer, but can be shortened to go over the shoulder. It's roomy and has a sturdy key strap (which I use for my work IDs). The zipper is high-quality as is the leather and I love just opening the bag and feeling the suede inside.     • The opening is to small !
The biggest one and only flaw in this purse is the opening. It’s like what were they thinking?you have to dig down in your purse without being able to see in it ! Why is the opening so small ? I quit using it it’s pretty much useless and you can’t even get into it.

I don't have very many Dooney bags, but I must say, I'm totally impressed with this one. I love the look, the style and most of all, I love the color. Thought I'd go with something fun for the summer and this one is totally a winner. My sister has this exact same bag in brown and when she saw mine in Salmon, she went and ordered it immediately. Buyer beware this is not real Dooney as the smell is plastic and this is from someone who has several real bags. I believed that this was real and paid $500 for this bag. Please let customers know this is fake.

Boy this is expensive! However, the leather is top notch: I love the thickness of it and the smell just fills a room. It gets scratched easily but most top leathers do. The design looks really good and unlike any other bag but there are some drawbacks. First of all, the leather is very heavy so even empty, this bag weights a ton. The fold-over opening is hard to work with: you can't unzip the bag unless it is sitting on something and then you have to use both hands and the opening is fairly small while the compartment is large and things are not easy to find. The handles are heavy and stitched but not long enough to wear this on your elbow. I love the green suede lining inside. Also don't even bother getting the small or mini satchel because it will be really hard to use. I prefer the largest size or at lease the medium. This bag is more for show than function. ... show more

The bag itself is beautiful, but the color description is probably more accurate than the picture. IT is definitely what you would consider Salmon, not a deep orange color.

Bought this but unfortunately have to return it back because the size was tooo big for a tiny body like me. Everything was perfect, the speed of shipping, the color, the smell of it's genuine leather. I advice this for tall woman .
