Before I start listing the positives for this bag, be aware that as it doesn't ship directly from Amazon, you may not get the text/email alerts letting you know it's been delivered. Happily, it was delivered several days earlier than estimated. But not so happily, I wasn't notified that it had been delivered, so the package sat out in a very heavy rainstorm for several hours, and the carton was totally soggy by the time I found it. But the bag was sealed in an interior plastic bag, so all was well. But if for any reason you don't want your delivery sitting outside for a long period of time, keep an eye out several days before the projected delivery date. On to the good stuff: this bag is very well constructed, and the pebbled leather exterior is very forgiving when it comes to the inevitable knocks most bags take, even with careful use. The strap is narrow but comfortable, and doesn't dig into the shoulders, unless you're carrying a small kettlebell inside. And it's adjustable by a couple of inches on both sides. At 5'5" and short-waisted as well, I had to shorten it to the topmost holes on either end, and the strap length is now perfect for me, but with plenty of length for those who are tall. The outside, open pocket is the full width of the bag, and is handy for shopping lists or whatever small, slim items you need easy access to. Which is especially helpful, as the zippered top opening is fairly narrow, and may irritate your hands if you have to repeatedly reach inside. That said, the bag is sleek looking and compact, but easily holds a medium-size wallet, cell phone, keys, a good-sized trusty, girl's-best-friend Swiss Army knife, a glasses case and keys, pens, lipstick, etc. There are two interior pockets: one larger, zippered pocket, and a smaller, open pocket that's the perfect size to hold a business card case. The sturdy red inner lining makes it easy to find things in the bag, unlike darker lining fabrics, and should hold up for years. Another piece of advice: to get the correct specs for any of the Dooney & Bourke bags sold on Amazon (and you definitely want to buy them on Amazon because they're much more expensive in the D&B site), be sure to check out the Dooney & Bourke site -- that was the only way I could get the correct bag dimensions and other pertinent specs. So glad I found the D&B bags on Amazon -- I expect this bag will last for years. It's an attractive, chic and tidy all-around daytime bag that will hold most of the basics while not looking or feeling at all bulky.

***** Be aware do not purchase on this site From them ******I’ve bought Dooney and Bourke a lot, but I usually go through Macy’s or big department store. I brought it through Amazon this time I brought the purse four days later I returned the purse never worn in the package perfect shape. The reason for the return is because it was actually too small when you open the zipper, I returned the purse and they declined my refund. They will not send me my money back or send me my purse back. I am going to file a fraud claim so I would suggest anyone that do not do it be aware !!
