The Dooney and Burke is tops in quality, if I carried it for 20 years I think it would only look loved not shabby. The size was important and this one is perfect (8”x9”) or there about. I chose the most neutral color which is a taupe hue glad I chose it. For the quality style size and branding this bag hits all with high marks. It’s not a Gucci Channel or L.V., it’s better it will hold up as well as any designer bag at a fraction the price and look great doing so. I was following my daughter’s lead in purchasing Coach products when I realized that my Dooney & Bourke purses were actually made better and cost about the same. Sooooo, I’m going to leave the Coach obsession to my daughter and I am developing my own purse obsession. This bag is perfect as it holds all my necessities, including my iPhone 12 which fits perfectly in the front zippered compartment. I’m a big DB fan because these bags never wear out. Well-constructed, timeless, high-quality materials and craftsmanship. This crossbody is a little larger than other bags I have tried (and been dissatisfied with), so it’s a little heavier than others. However, for running around town, a dinner out, etc., it is exactly what I need. It snugly holds my cellphone, a medium wallet, my reading glasses, and some lipstick. The key tag is my favorite aspect of DB bags—my husband can easily find (and put back) my set of car fobs. The zippers are high-quality construction—I do rub a little bar soap on them upon receipt just to get them moving. My wife is delighted with the bag. She loves the red interior which makes it easier to find "stuff". She likes the outside pocket to slide her phone and can keep the main compartment zipped for security. She also really likes the small brass feet to help the bag wear longer. Christmas score!
