Not a bad thing, I thought they'd be sheers and was very pleasantly surprised to find that they are pink blacking curtains and thicker than sheers. This is the "Taupe" color. Very good blackout curtains. I'd say they block out about 85% of light, which was just what I needed. A darker color would probably be even better. Wash and dry to get all wrinkles out. Very soft curtains. Highly recommend!
