  • Loved it!
I thought this was a great book written by season & experience. For anyone looking to create a dyamic lifestyle & has the right mindset, this is a must read. The author has many great gifts that will enable you to live an even better life than you thought possible. what I like about the author is that while he teaches his readers the way to move forward doing what he's found tremendous success, he has tons of experience in another field altogether that he's willingly shares. I like that he's able to generate streams of income by teaching others key skills in filming videos, editing, etc. He's a great musician & I discovered this all because I searched on YouTube "How to use your iPhone video feature & discovered thru his tutorial that he wrote this book that is a subject I LOVE. • Property Management as a lifestyle to debt reduction
Rather than focus on the debt snowball method, or paying highest interest debts first, instead, this book calls into question a very basic premise: our biggest expense is housing and if that need could be met at little or no cost, how much easier would other things be possible. The author presents an interesting journey in terms of how he and his wife got out of debt, built emergency savings, and later still, also acquired rental property. The approach focuses on the fact that the biggest portion of any person's salary is spent on either rent or mortgage and when you figure out your salary relative to the cost of housing, you then realize that the alternative is too spend as little as possible on housing, thus decreasing your need for income,or with same income, focus on debt reduction. The author's approach calls for being a building manager in a commercial property. He then rented out his own house and made it into a rental property, and became a building manager. He then goes into great detail of how to be the best possible property manager possible. The approach calls for questioning your life style and income needs, relative to what sacrifices you need to make to meet those needs. His approach may not work for everyone, but it is certainly a well written book with a lot of practical advise for those that may wish to pursue this approach. ... show more

  • My friend tried it, and it works.
A close friend of mine worked at two different apartments over a period of four years in Los Angeles. Then she was out of debt and had enough money to buy her own house with a good down payment.

  • Book
This is not worth buying. Information not reliable and it only seems to apply to couples. It also seems unreal. I need information based on reality.

  • I like this book
I like this book, it provides an actual strategy of how to live rent and mortgage free--by being a residential manager; this book is geared more towards couples though. He explains how him and new wife were in debt, and how they essentially become part-time residential apartment managers--smart move--to eliminate rent. Although this strategy can be used as an individual, however, if you are single and adventurous, check out Allan Adams--Live Rent Free and Create a Path to Prosperity. He explains how eliminated his largest monthly expenses and used his savings to invest in small businesses and buy some rental property. Much like this book, Live Rent Free and Create a Path to Prosperity provides an actual strategy to live rent free and turn your fortunes around. For people willing to think outside of the box, these books are very insightful. ... show more
