I bought this ring set because my friend purchased one and I thought it was very pretty, probably the nicest asscher cut ring on Amazon. The stones are well cut and very sparkly... The center stone is a believable size that looks very real and vintage. The two rings fit together nicely and look great together. The presentation box it came in is very cute. But do not expect to wear these rings every day or use them for a wedding set. The metal is marked as sterling silver and the description states that it is plated in rhodium. I doubt this is true. I did not wear the rings as a set, I only have worn the main ring as a right hand ring, the small band was left in the box. Within ten days, the ring was leaving discolorations on my finger and it only got worse, the metal has lost it's smoothness and has become dull looking.... when you put the two rings together you can really see this difference in luster. The stones are still perfect but the metal has become rough and is an oddly colored grey. I am so disappointed. I do understand this is costume jewelry, but at this price I expected real sterling.... I ended up with dime store quality instead. I have not abused this ring or subjected it to harsh chemicals. It had the same hand washing and daily use as all the other rings I wore at the same time. I do not have any weird metal allergies and I am not especially hard on my jewelry, so this change surprised me. I talked to my friend who has the same ring, and she too reported that her rings were turning her finger greyish/green and she had stopped wearing them. ... show more

    • Wedding Band doesn't fit!

I love the engagement stone--it's gorgeous, looks real and fits perfectly. However, I'm very disappointed with the band. It seems like it is about a half-size smaller than the engagement ring. This is the part of the set I wanted to wear the most. So I gave it a three for that.

I have a beautiful white gold diamond engagement ring with a white gold and black diamond wedding band and I love it, but I have developed some kind of allergy or something to the gold and it makes my finger break out and itch! I was very happy with this ring for a while. After wearing it I noticed that the silver looked odd. It had black coloring in it and was no longer smooth even after gentle cleaning. I continued to wear it because it did not look discolored on the top of the ring. However now I can see an orange color that has rubbed through with wear. So obviously this wasn't silver with the R plating. This is disappointing due to the fact that I would keep wearing the ring if it wasn't rough and discolored on the bottom side.
