This came out the perfect size. Be careful not to overfill the top and bottom segments, or it will not go together correctly. I had to shave off a bit to get the tapered edges to fit correctly in their slots. If the top of the resin is level with or slightly lower than the top of the mold at the long sides, you will be fine. Because the pieces are so thin, the surface you cast on *must* be level or it is immediately obvious. There is very little room for error.

Well I was and still am doing a box to go with a set of dominoes for a customer and I simply hate this mold. I was reluctant because I had difficulties with an earlier project, but my concerns is that it warps after a few uses. It is also difficult to assemble and has taken more time and product than what I used to create the domino set. So I am trying to get this lid done because it has been the last piece and the most frustrating one. So sanding and recoating has to take place in hopes that this can be salvaged. AND this is for my customer's son's birthday and has been more than patient. I don't recommend this product for projects personal or professional unless they fix these issues. And yes, instructions to come with the product instead of searching YouTube videos would be helpful as well.

Ok, so I have now made two of these boxes, and I have learned a lot. First, the mold is really good quality and well made: I have no complaints in that aspect. Second, this sucker sucks to assemble. I feel like written instructions would have helped, but I am a fly by the seat of my pants type person anyway. Here are a few tips: 1. DO NOT OVER POUR the top and bottom; the other pieces do not really matter in that aspect. 2. Let the resin cure completely; this helps limit the sides from bowing. 3. Use uv resin to assemble. 4. Plan on attaching some sort of handle to the top of the box: I just used the smallest ball mold that I had. 5. After you do all of this, there is still a solid chance that you will need to file down the sides of the box: I used a dremel to thin the piece that goes into the channel and a nail file (it’s what I had) to narrow the lid down. 6. If you do happen to get the box together, run bar soap along the edges to help the lid slide.

As others have said, don't overfill, ensure its level as possible. It won't hold together without glue of some sort. Pick your poison, hot glue, uv resin, etc. But I chose fabric glue. The pieces slid together easily with the glue acting as lubricant and held together strong once dry and dries clear. Very easy, no fuss no muss. And as an added advantage, the fabric glue applies with a needle tip directly into the grooves. I also accidentally made the side the top slide lid, but it works that way too. Going to try the other way and see how it goes.

I love the easy removal of resin pieces but it's very hard to put together. No instructions are included and the ones in picture aren't accurate. Buyer should be made aware that the resin should not be filled to top of you want the pieces to fit better. Also when I finally constructed it, not all my dominoes fit like it indicates in picture. Overall disappointed because I've twice wasted a lot of resin on this product.
