Ok, so I totally got this for my kids for Christmas, but I’ve definitely been playing with it while they’re at school or with their mom. 🤪 It’s SO fun! From the moment I opened the box with them and saw how cute it was to the building of the rings to the first flight, I’ve been giddy with excitement to get good at flying it around the house. The design of the brackets is great because you don’t have to figure out which piece goes where - they’re all the same and the kids got it faster than I did. We plugged the battery right into a USB block and charged it up. Once it was in the drone, we read over the quick directions for how to fly it and got to it! It really is so easy to maneuver. The kids won’t even give me a moment to play when they’re at home, but I’ve been getting better at it when they’re gone. 😁 ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So, to preface, about 10 years ago, I got into micro quads and whoops. My first, and also the smallest, was the Estes Proto X (size of a quarter). It was a hoot, and all around a great flyer. It was very acrobatic and highly maneuverable. It had very responsive controls, could climb and drop like a bat out of hell, and was super easy to fly right out of the box. I also loved the controls. It's not always that you find the translational controls on the right thumbstick, and elevation and head controls on the left. Although, ideally, you should be able to program and customize this the way you want. But, that's for more advanced radios that costs more $$$. Anyways, this quad has the same kind of controls, and I was really happy to find that. Now, this quad is kind of a throw back to my early quads. It's very stable out of the box. Almost no trimming is necessary. It flies inside like a dream. Very easy to control, and it's not super responsive that you can fly fast and crash into walls. The most responsive level is still controllable by most people, and I think that was intentional for the age group this is targeting. I really love the prop guards. Never had that before on my other early whoops and micros. I was always trashing propellers. The motor guards are nice, but I wonder how much longer the motors will last before the bottom hits wear them out. As an aside, please note that THESE ARE BRUSHED MOTORS AND USUALLY DON'T LAST LONG. I think 100 flights is optimistic. 50 flights, and probably one motor will start to go bad. I like the lights. The front light is almost like a small floody flashlight. Just on a much smaller scale, obviously. What else? The kit does come with lots of neat little trick hoops and obstacles to fly through. I'm not interested in this, but it may be something fun for the kids. All in all, I would definitely recommend this. Especially considering another recent micro quad I got from Amazon that just freaking sucked. This thing is a dream in comparison. ... show more

I started up my drone, followed the linking process and after I hit the button to start up the DRONE FLEW hundreds of feet in the air! That drone was ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM and it was still flying over the truck stop until I couldn’t see it anymore! That drone still may be flying for all I know! I need a replacement! ... show more

    • Fun Tiny Drone!
First and foremost, this is a fun little drone! After recharging the batteries 2x each I started to have a little more difficulty than usual getting the drone to pair with the transmitter. This meant unplugging the battery and turning off the transmitter in various sequences before it would recognize the proper throttle up / dn pairing procedure. Not a deal breaker, but you do need patience. Once paired, I was getting flight times of just over 6 minutes while flying around the inside of our home. It is pretty stable for the most part but can be a bit erratic in the faster modes. Seems like the flight board may be over compensating during corrections at times. It is super light and super tiny, but after bouncing off the walls, ceiling and floor numerous times it still looks and functions like new (aside from the aforementioned pairing issues).     • Zippy overall but poor components
This thing was zippy, perhaps too much so! It moves so fast that it instantly crashes. It is hair trigger sensitive. Also, the charger stopped charging after the third day. I wrote the seller and they said if I purchase a new kit then they would refund it so I could replace the charger with a whole other kit. That was kind. Now we have two of these guys. The extras like the obstacle course and the landing pad were nice pluses. ... show more

    • Micro Drone, Big fun!
I wouldn’t consider this to be a mini drone, this is more a micro size drone for indoor flight only. What’s great about this set is that you get the drone, controller, two batteries, a landing pad, and three hoops to fly through. For anyone looking to learn to fly and navigate around and through obstacles, this kit is great for that! You should know you will need to provide your own batteries for the controller and you will need a USB charging port for the cable. Most people should have a USB charging brick by now, but if you don’t, know that you will need to have a USB charging port, either a charging brick, a computer, or an outlet with a USB port. Expect the flight time will only last about 10 to 12 minutes per battery. For the price you can’t really be disappointed with the overall quality, but you should know this is made of primarily cheap thin plastic, so just taking the drone out of the packaging, you feel like you might break it, so just be careful. It shouldn’t break if you happen to crash it in a wall or anything, but over time it might not last depending on how rough you are with it. Some of the cool features are, this has one button takeoff and landing, it will hover in place, but know it doesn’t have GPS so it will drift a little bit, and you can do one button 360 flips! This does have a tiny LED light for show. Again, this is NOT an outside drone toy. It can fly outside, but a little wind will probably blow it around. ... show more
