I have a 28 inch waist and typically wear med or (on occasion large depending on style/make). This dress although very cute runs VERY small. It may fit a "junior" but not woman. The "tie" on the front is very large once tied and ends up being very bulky in front. I order the large based on the size chart. Even though I was barely able to get it on it was way too tight and I was afraid I would rip the seams. I'm not even sure the XL would fit. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

I'm 5'9", 180lbs, 40DD, 34" waist, 41" hips for reference, and I ordered a large. It fits perfectly. It's incredibly comfortable to wear. I have a bigger chest, and upon trying it on, I was very worried one of my girls would pop out during the day; however, that did not happen! I find this dress to be quite flattering. I love wearing it. There is a zipper on the side for ease of putting on/taking off.

I bought the dress for vacation. It was the perfect addition to my vacation. The color is white off, the material is super light and slick. The little elastic on the back is not very tight. It looks great with or without bra. The dress is a little sheer but doesn't show through. It's one of those materials that everyone enjoys feeling on their skin.
