This is a really metal dog playpen/portable dog fence. It was super easy to assemble, it's sturdy and the gate works nicely as well. I like that there are different panel options to order from, the one I ordered is the shortest length. Photos attached are the 7 panels and one gate option, 18.6Ft long. I did set it up as rectangle at first but decided the round seemed to give a bigger area. I did have one issue upon putting it together; one of the panel thread rings had a weld bead inside which prevented the stake from going through. I tried to use a hammer and hole punch to get it out, but ended up having to use a drill to wear it down, not that big of a problem because we were at home setting it up. I did take a star off because of it. Otherwise, I am very pleased with it and would recommend it.

I saw a negative review regarding the wire thickness and strength, and I think that’s unrealistic for anyone that has ever used these exercise pens before. They are not made out of super heavy thick bars; they are made to be sturdy and portable but also reasonably strong enough to keep pets contained. This 24” pen is obviously not intended for large breed dogs. For this review I am writing from the perspective of a rabbit and chicken owner. All that said, I have multiple different brands of exercise pens from pet stores, Amazon, etc, and they are all pretty similar, but I love this one. The panels are sturdy but light, the finish feels much higher quality that the typical black glossy finish on most of them. They come with soft no-scratch feet for protecting flooring, and the gate has 2 latches keeping pets from pushing a gap open at the bottom. When this pen arrived I was giving one of my extra large chickens emergency treatment for a sour crop, and had to keep her off water for 12h and feed for 24h while I treat her. Normally I have to use a large dog crate to treat these turkey sized ladies, which isn’t the best because it’s dark and they can’t see their flock which causes stress. I grabbed the fence panels and easily tossed together a cube using a couple ball bungees to attach a top to keep her from flying out. The flexibility with customization with these types of pens can’t be beat and they are so much easier to use than the pens that are one long line of fencing permanently attached together and z-fold to store. My only issue is that the latch style is really hard to open one-handed, because the first latch falls back down when you try to open the second one. For some people that won’t be a factor, but when you are putting squirming chickens or mischievous rabbits away you can’t really let them go to undo a latch. Still, I think (for me) that con is negated by the fact that this is the first pen I have owned with 2 solid latches and I appreciate the security. The quality of this play pen is excellent, and well worth the price; you get what you pay for so decide if you want subpar quality and replace more often, or buy quality.

So I purchased two of these so my pups would be separated because they play fight a bit too much. I’m afraid it’ll turn into a real fight so it was easy to put together and it’s a great size for the smaller pup and they can grow with it. The assembly was easy to move it as easy the steak stick right in the ground. It wasn’t complicated at all. It was a great value for the money and it’ll be in functional use for years to come and it’s easy to clean. I usually just spray it down and with soap and then spray it down with the hose and then wipe it it’s pretty easy And it looks good in the yard.

This is a nice fence setup. It is not very high so if you have a bigger dog that isn't well behaved and can jump high this might not hold them. My dog is 90 pounds but doesn't realize that he can jump higher than this fence and it holds him really well. The gate mechanism is really nice and technically can be opened with one had but it is easier to open with both hands. We have this set up on our back deck because our dog had ACL surgery and has to be confined and it is perfect for that. We've been leaving this out daily for a couple weeks now and I've noticed some spots have started to rust. I feel like this can be a bit expected but it should take longer than a couple of weeks and really it would be better if it didn't rust at all.

I already own a fence similar to this, however, I wanted to make the area a little bigger. Luckily this fence connected right up to the one I already had. The fence is super easy to install. The stakes that hold the fence into the ground are also used to hold the panels together making setup easy and convenient. It's meant to be outside and has held up nicely. The fence is sturdy. It's not terrible to transport making them great for camping. Overall, I'm happy with these and would recommend them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Got these for our pups as they learned how to get over the shorter ones. These keep them in but we only have the 7 panels so it is kind of small for them. They seem to be made well and have held up so far. The price is a little high for 7 panels ($142 at time we ordered). The 21 panels would be better but for the price there are a lot more options to choose from.
