Nice little heater if you have a tiny space to heat . Will not connect to wifi unless it’s very close to your router. Will not hear a large space such as a 6x8 outdoor kennel building . Had mine set to 70 degrees last night . It is 44 outside temp and their kennel showed 50 degrees after it has been running all night long . My dog is little and wire haired, so she gets cold easily. I ordered this so that when I need to be gone and she is in the backyard, I can provide some heat for her next to her house. We use a plastic igloo house so I won't mount the heater inside but instead will mount this to the wall outside it so that it will blow warm air near the entrance. The heater itself is very compact and has a secure mounting bracket on it. The construction is sturdy plastic with a metal grill. When used, the metal grill gets hot but I touched it without getting burned. The app works well. It was easy to connect and control the heater with my phone. You can set a timer, adjust the temperature, and turn it on or off with the app. This would be great if it takes longer to get home than expected and I need to turn on the heat. The only downside (for my application) is that it would be nice if you could mount it on the wall at a level higher than that of my dog and tilt it down so that it blows on her. The ideal installation would be in a wooden house with a high ceiling so she can't reach it but it heats the house. We might need to improve her house. ... show more

This dog house heater works great! I'm not one to read rhe instructions unless I absolutely have to, and I was initially frustrated during setup because I though it was only powered through the app and I couldn't control it manually. That is not the case! I just had to add the temperature probe piece into the unit and it was ready to rock and roll! The heater lets you set a time between 1 and 24 hours and you choose the temperature and can easily switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. It starts working quickly and I was able to feel a difference after a few minutes. I put this in our freezing cold bathroom and it really warmed the space up without making it too hot. Also it didn't make the floor it was resting in burning hot, which I was concerned about. Overall this is a great unit! I love that the app is an option and not the only option, and maybe read the instructions if you're struggling. ... show more

We recently moved into a new house, and our previously-indoor doggies became outdoor dogs overnight. We bought a Rubbermade 7x7 shed for them to sleep in, and this heater works perfectly for those winter months. Since heat rises, you want to install this heater as close to the floor as possible without tempting anyone to start chewing. I wish the controller and temperature sensor has a metal sleeve to prevent chewing, but spraying some bitter tasting (dog-safe) oils should take care of that. The heater is made of all-plastic, as is the controller. The readout is simply, and controls intuitive.
