This pad is really nice. You get an extra grass pad and the hard tray beneath it is pretty sturdy. Just be careful if you wash the grass pad in your washer, because it will shed pretty bad. It will still look decent but you will have a ton of shedded grass in your washer.

If I could give this zero Stars I would. The grass pads are garbage. They are not permeable. They have very few holes in them. I had to heat up a screwdriver to put more holes in it. And even that didn't work. Even while using disposable pads underneath the grass pad, everything sits on the grass pad. So your dog will be stepping in its own pee every time it uses it. It's great that they give you two grass pads. However, you hang one up and hose the crap out of it in the shower and it still smells like pee. I sprayed it with vinegar cleaned it again. Still smells like pee. Sprayed it with vinegar and dawn, let it soak, sprayed it again. And it still smells like pee. I have cleaned the first Grass Pad eight times and it still smells like pee. The bottom is coated not permeable. I flipped it over to try to clean that side and the water rolls right off of it. Do not buy! This is a smelly piece of junk! Not worth the $80. Might as well just burn that money. Super disappointed!

As soon as I brought it out and stacked the layers, my new pup took to using it as a sort of bed/hangout spot. I’m trying to get her to pee on it because she goes in the grass 95% of the time, so I figured it would be an easy transition. I’ll take blame upon myself though, because this is my first pup and I’m not an expert at training. The sprays that they sell for marking where your dog should go aren’t working for her at all. She’ll jump off the turf and onto her expensive bed right next to it and pee right in front of me, full eye contact and everything… but she has never once done it on the turf. With that said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product I purchased. I am extremely happy with it, and the fact that she prizes it so much goes a long way to tell me how the dog feels about many features of the product. The ‘grass’ is soft and comfy to sit/lay on. I thought it would be uncomfortable to walk on with the solid/liquid separator poking up with hundreds of nubs, but it’s like it’s not even there at all. It’s well made and I definitely feel like it’s going to last for as long as I want it to. There are 2 turf pads in the package, so I was already preparing to be switching them out every couple days to hose off, but at her current size, even if she took every bathroom break on it, the whole setup could last several days (sans the poop) without the smell being noticeable, especially if you use dog litter in the bottom. I mainly just need it for her emergencies when I can’t let her out fast enough, or later on in her life when something like the weather would prevent her from going outside. Definitely worth what I paid, and I recommend it.

Growing up with golden retrievers, a dad as a vet, and having puppies around me basically my whole life, brought my own/first 8 week old golden retriever puppy home last week. I’m tired, but honest. POV Chicago highrise… this thing has been a life saver. She immediately knew this was the place to do business. I just came back to order another. I still bring her out when needed / every 2 hours for training, and she associates the pad with the real deal. It brings ease and comfort knowing she still needs her second and third vaccinations in a big city (parvo, lepto, giardia). I spray mine off in the shower and use dawn dish soap and hang it to dry overnight. (It takes a long time to dry). I have to twist mine a little to fit through the door of my bathroom, so measure before buying because of the tray full of liquid underneath. I suggest getting some flushable wipes for the number 2 and the cleanup aftermath. Pro tip - spray it before you shower, hang it in the shower with some good hooks to dry, replace with the backup, repeat daily.

Though the product components are pretty good quality. The grass mats that came with it do not drain well into the tray/puppy pads we've put underneath. We've flipped the grass mat over and there are very few holes in it and those that are there are very small. When we lift the grass up all the pee just pours off the mat which is pretty nasty if you're using this inside or in a confined space.
