The media could not be loaded. These are really easy to use, you just twist them to open, add batteries, twist the cover back on good and tight, then slide the suction cups into the grooves on the back and you can stick them onto the tub or other smooth surfaces and use the remote to change between some pretty cool single colors or cycling/strobe/fade modes! I like hot baths, so to keep the batteries from cooking I only stuck these in once the tub was filled, and the water was at a comfortable temperature. I used 1.2V Ni-Mh rechargeable AAAs and they did great, the lights were bright and had no problems at all with those. I played around with the color modes a minute or two before getting in, because while these are waterproof the kind of flimsy feeling remote control that comes with them is definitely NOT, and you will want to be careful with it. The remote is infrared, not radio, so you need to point it at the lights to reach them, and if you want to mix and match colors or effects, say one solid purple and one solid pink, you need to do that apart from each other so you only change one at a time, then stick them in together. The adjustable brightness was really great, I started with them on bright but then as I relaxed into the bath I did turn them down low, which in a dark room was still very visible and colorful. Suction power was great, they held so well I actually had to slide them up and off the rim of the tub to get them off, just yanking didn't actually do it! These do work best with clear water, a bath bomb that dyes the water a different color can make these dull. The suction cups worked great on the walls of my shower, and they looked just as cool is falling water as underwater. For creating a relaxing, romantic, or fun pool party like mood, these are just awesome. I am totally in love with these now and recommend them fully! 5-stars!! ... show more

    • Defective Suction Cups
The lights are cool with a lot of color options. However, for this item it's super important that the suction cups work. Otherwise it's just an LED disk light. One of the disks I was able to use with the suction cups which was fun. I didn't observe any leaks. It was placed at the water line (half submerged) in my bath tub. The other one I couldn't get the suction cups to stick. Without the suction cups, it's not really an underwater light. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The Dobertry Bathtub Lights work as expected. They provide a nice seal to the battery compartment for 3 AAA batteries, use cleverly attached suction cups, have a remote control, give enough light for a bathtub or hot tub, allow selectable colors and brightness levels, and have fade, strobe and flash functions. The quirks, or why this isn't a 5-star product: The remote works from about 3 meters (10 feet) away in air. The remote only works from about 30 cm (1 foot) away when placed about 20 cm (8 inches) under water. This is because IR waves do not penetrate very far in water. It's not really a design flaw - just physics to be aware of. You can certainly use these lights above water, but the best effect (IMHO) is achieved when the light is under water. If using these lights in a bathtub, then you can put them on the desired setting and then fill the tub. If you use the lights in a hot tub, just keep them near the surface. The "Fade" control changes the lights to different colors at a relatively fast speed, and there is no control on the remote to change this (see video). We like multicolor fading on other LED lights, and slower changing colors would be much more soothing in a hot tub or bathtub. We just use it on a fixed color. AC. ... show more

    • Caution for those who have siezure disorders
The media could not be loaded. The product is made out of a cheap material. It requires 3 triple A batteries to operate. When it comes to adhesive, it uses suction cups to hold onto a location in the bathtub. It comes with 2 color changing disks and 1 remote. Now the remote can change the lighting and settings. It has fade, strobe, smooth etc. It also has the different colors if you wish to just have it on a certain color as well as buttons for increase and decrease of lighting. The suction cups for the disks vary.I have only recieved one set of cups that hold onto the tub while the other set is defective. While the one disk can accept single colors, my disk might be defective or the product does infact do this. When it comes to the different lighting modes it has this mode that can trigger users who have a siezure disorder. My siezure disorder isn't as serious but if looked at longer, yes it can be triggered. I'm giving this product a 2 out of 5 because there's too many cons then pros for this product. ... show more

    • Bright and makes bath-time or bedtime fun!
Ordered these for my son to make bath time more fun. These are great for the pool too for night time swimming and make for fun diving games at night. They each take 3 AAA batteries, which are not included, and include a remote control to change the brightness and color - tons of fun for kids. I have not had them long enough or used long enough to measure the battery length but it's been a week and they're still going strong! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My wife really enjoys her baths on Sunday nights and puts candles out takes a good book and one time asked me how difficult it would be to add lighting to the bath. I took this on as a personal challenge and started doing research and found there’s really two types of devices, one requires you to glue it onto the bathtub the other has suction cups. This product has suction cups, and will allow you to easily take them off or not in use or change them into a bit different bathtub.
