Flawless. Seriously. I expected it to be just meh-good-enough... but it works perfectly and comes with a SiR replica shift knob. The stick sits slightly higher than stock, which is great for spirited driving! I hate when you buy/install a short shifter and all it turns out to be is just a shorter stick. Short sticks are worthless (ask your Mom)! The movement is about 30-40% shorter than stock, but the stick is physically longer. PERFECT! The stick is also anodized red, which means since it's longer it sticks out of the boot, and the exposed section looks fantastic! It comes with ball-bearing bushings and brass washers, which is exactly what you'd expect out of a $200+ brand name like B&M.     • Does not fit right
Quality built, looks good, but completely wrong size ball. Matched it up to my oem shifter, it didn’t look right at all. Installed it anyways and the shifter does not seat at all, has an enormous amount of play due to the ball being too small for the shift linkage.. not sure if manufacturing defect or what the deal is. I ordered it for a 94 civic dx with a d16z6 swap, original shifter was fine, just wanted a shorter throw. Tried both the spare linkages I have laying around and even when bolted up it doesn’t fit right. ... show more

    • Decent for price , budget build
Not really a quality short shifter, doesn’t have duel bend. Bought it for one car, some car before install, then bought another of the same car but came with skunk 2 shifter in a box, decided to install the skunk 2 shifter . Deff superior product . I did use the shift nob cause I like the color. Deff not weighted and the quality of skunk to knob but it’s nice eye candy. And I love the color purple ... show more

    • Works just as well and for half the price as the other namebrand items!!
I was kind a half worried when I seen a bunch of reviews about scratches and scuffs but mine did not come with any on it. It did exactly as advertised maybe even better than 50% cut down on the shift throw. But I also installed Energy Suspension bushing as well on my 00 Civic. For $30 for these two items, this was the best investment I've made in my car yet. I don't know why someone would buy this part namebrand when this works just as well. ... show more

    • A nice upgrade to an aging vehicle
I purchased this shifter in February of 2016 when my '99 Civic EX had 199,569 miles on it. It now has 216,000 on it and the shifter works like a champ. My old stock one had a lengthy throw and the bushings in it were absolutely destroyed, so I thought about replacing the shifter to get a shorter throw. This fit the bill. Fit the car as expected, though personally, I would get just the shifter itself and save your money on the shift knob. The stock shift knob, unless torn or missing, is much better, ergonomically speaking, than the one that comes in the kit. It also doesn't heat up from the exhaust like the one in the kit does. ... show more

    • Does Not Fit EG hatch Correctly.

The media could not be loaded. Do you want to waste an hour trying to make parts fit that were never meant to and cant figure out why? Let me tell you about this nice shaft. It does have a shorter throw because the bottom half is a bit longer, but does not fit EG hatch correctly. The shaft Ball is too small. Shifter fitment is like throwing a hot dog down a hall way.. moves up and down. Reinstalled original parts. ... show more

    • Great shifter
Awesome shifter if you have any trouble getting the 2 10mm nuts holding the shift rod in the stabilizer bar just remove it from the car grind off the stud backing and use nut and bolt to secure the new shifter in place (will need someones help to hold the bolt while tightening it)

Short throw, bearing in the attachment to the linkage makes shifts smooth. Aluminum shift knob. Gets a little hot on some days. The threading was off on the knob so when you put it on the shift pattern was upside down. Put a little rubber o- ring in there to stop it and tension the threads. Not a big deal. ... show more
