I had to clean the surface where I was going to stick the EZ Lip on with paint thinner and slower started applying it on my read bumper. I used a heat gun to make sure it would stick. EDIT: Updated review. I purchased the EZ lip in January 2020 and this last weekend, it finally ripped (August 2021). My car is lowered and I try to drive carefully on roads with dips/bumps. There are some roads where there just isn't much you can do. On these roads, I've scraped the lip and for the most part, the lip had held up well. There were a few scuffs on it, but nothing that was easy to see so I wasn't worried about it. However, this weekend I was driving and scraped it (didn't think it was very hard) and it ripped the lip. Moral of the story, it's a good lip... it's cheap and looks good. I'm not out a ton of $$ like I would have been if I purchased a "real" lip for this car. But after this, I'm not sure if I'm going to replace it or not. I've been wanting a lip for the front end of my Fiesta ST but didn't want to spend $$$ on something that was, 1. only for looks, and 2. probably going to meet a few speed bumps eventually. The EZ lip was SUPER easy to install. I left the tape out in the sun on a hot day to get it nice and warm. I cleaned the bottom of my bumper and honestly didn't even do a great job (no alcohol or other adhesive prep). I lined it up before peeling the tape off to get an idea of how I would handle the different curves in the bumper and when I was happy, I started at the passenger side wheel and then, working about a foot at a time, stuck the lip to the bottom of the bumper. I pressed it on in sections, pretty lightly just in case I needed to peel it off and move it. When it was all the way done, I cut the end and firmly pressed the lip onto the bumper. All said and done, took me all of 4 minutes to install, minus the cleaning time. The lip itself is soft. It's made of what feels almost like a foam. I guess I was expecting it to be more rubber-y based on how it looks, but it seems durable enough. It's easy to tear it if you try to rip it, but I don't expect that I'll have any problems on the car. As far as the adhesive, after letting it set for a few hours, I pulled on it... HARD. The bumper moves but the lip is solid. Also, because the lip is made of soft material, I expect that it will actually resist any scrapes with speed bumps pretty easily. For the price, I highly recommend this lip if you're looking for a bit of style. Really adds a lot to the look of the front end for a pretty low price. ... show more

Very easy to install. It looks really good, and it does provide some protection for your bumper as well. However, I had to put a few screws in to hood it in place, because the adhesive failed. Overall, not a bad product if you don’t mind screwing it in to the bumper

Pretty easy to install. Just clean good with alcohol and heat the surface and lip with a blow dryer. Just be careful when cutting. I used a scissor and it shredded the rubber a little. A razor would be cleaner, but it was on in a tight spot of the car and I would've cut into the paint. Also if you have any small bolts or rivets where you're applying it, it will change how flat it lays and make it "warp" slightly. Been on for a month and still looks good with no signs of coming off. ... show more

Ok, 2005 BMW 325 CI Cabrolet… its an oddly shaped spoiler so (see pics) the rubber had to curve along the radius. That was not a problem and the 3M tape is holding. However, as reported by many when you get a radical turn or even a slight turn forget about the tape holding. Its a major flaw that the manufacturer should address. So luckily at the end of each side of my factory spoiler are bolts that hold the inside wheel well covers on. So a 3/16th hole was needed in each side of the rubber to allow the bolt to screw into the panel. I need protection from bottoming my spoiler out as my model Bimmer is a good 2inches lower than a standard model. I haven't hit a curb yet but as a backup if the tape comes loose I will use 3/16th tabs screwed into the bottom of the spoiler to attach the rubber. But for now, the tape is holding firm. 4stars ... show more

This EZLip is the standard size, install description. Car bumper surface was washed/ degreased, and primer silver paint under the bumper to look cleaner. When cured i cleaned area with alcohol wipes. Product was new and laid out in the sun to warm up material and adhesion tape, and I took measurements. Installation took two people to register the spoiler level just right. There is only one chance to lay it down spoiler. The length was enough for the bumper and went far edge to edge. I used scissors to cut off the excess material. With the two additional pieces, I placed behind the front wheels. In addition to having put on the EZ LIP, I rubbed on with a towel, a transparent -quik dry glaze (polyacrylic medium), to protect the rubber material from the sun and give it a wet look. I let the car cure for 8 hours. Taking the car out on highway test run x2. There was no loss of adhesion. which is great. However the next day i did return to install 2 small screws on each edge of the spoiler. I piloted the hole and fastened the EZlip to the car facia. I did this because i wanted the additional fastness of the Ez Lip, and the screws on the end definitely have a nice stylish effect. Overall happy with this product.
