Frustrating...My mattress toppers only partially expanded. Both the original order and the replacement. I assumed the first topper was defective, so rather than take a refund, I got a replacement. I need them for a guest room bed. Both toppers expanded partially in random places but stayed flat in others. They're unusable. I received a refund after the 2nd topper didn't expand so will try a different brand this time. The picture shows the replacement topper after 4 1/2 days.

We unexpectedly were invited camping and I hate everything about blow up air beds. I have these toppers (4") at home and wondered to myself if these would work for our camping trip. I know they are supposed to be "cooling" but I've never noticed any cooling effects after I put on waterproof bed pads and sheets. I used some very thin 3" air bed mats underneath these foam toppers for some protection from the ground. I made a king sized bed and a full sized bed in our tent for our family of 5. The temperature got down to under 30 degrees the first night and let me tell you we were warm and toasty in these beds! My kids have nice sleeping bags but we just used regular bedding/quilts. These toppers held our body heat all night and the only thing that was cold were our noses. I did wrap the bottom of the topper in a waterproof bed sheet just incase there was any moisture. For packing we just rolled them up and wrapped belts around them for transportation. As far as using these on our beds at home most ppl love them but I feel the 2 inch version is better for me. We already have the cool gel memory foam beds and 4inches on top of that makes it a bit too squishy for me and makes no improvement in my sleep. I have arthritis and a bad back so it's not often I am comfortable but 2'' has been the best pressure relief.

This was exactly as described. It expands to a full four inches. I ordered the twin size after pricing all kinds of beds for large dogs - they are expensive, especially when you are searching for orthopedic support for aging dogs. So, instead of spending $300.00 at LL Bean (yes that is the cost for a top-rated, XL, basic orthopedic bed) I bought this twin size for $75.00 and a cover for about $40.00. The topper arrived yesterday, and I was impressed that there didn't seem to be an odor. It was compressed and had to be carefully cut out of the packaging, but it was easy to stretch out on my dining room table so it could expand. After about 15 minutes it was fully expanded so I measured my pup's current bed and cut the topper for bed one. Perfect fit in his old bed cover! I was surprised that the foam was so easy to cut. It was a little challenging - it is four inches high, but overall, not that hard taking it a little at a time. Now I am waiting on the cover I ordered from Amazon to arrive so I can make the second bed. I will have some left over and I may be able to make some type of pillow with the left-over foam. Who knows???? So, for a little over $100.00 I will have two dog beds made with egg crate memory foam that is firm and soft at the same time. My 90lb Chocolate Labrador Retriever loves it! He is 13 and when he tried it out yesterday - he just crashed, stretched out, and slept so well. I hope this continues to help him because he was getting more and more restless during the night on his old bed. I am truly impressed with the quality of this foam topper. I have no idea of a rating for a human bed, but it was a great buy for a homemade doggie bed.

During the first phase of the pandemic, I couldn't sleep well, but figured it was because of the uncertainty, I was away from home, out of the yoga studio, away from the pool and gym, etc. Then my knees and hips were stinging at night. Once home, I purchased a new mattress and adjustable bed frame, but the pain continued. A fellow senior (ahem) athlete, who's had arthritis in hips, shoulders, etc. for years said a foam mattress pad would do the trick, but I was skeptical. So much pain, so simple a fix. I let the product air two days, a few hours in fresh air, and used it last night. I got the best night's sleep I've had for months. I'd already purchased extra-deep fitted sheets and mattress pad for the adjustable bed frame, but they were loose. Now they fit perfectly. I'm amazed and grateful. Being a hot sleeper I have avoided memory foam toppers for years, but decided to give a bamboo charcoal version a try. I also wanted egg crate so this fit the bill nicely. I also decided to go for 4" thick, hoping it wouldn't be TOO thick. After a few nights sleep on it, I can say I haven't slept this comfortably in years (I'm old). And surprisingly, it hasn't been too hot! Much better temperature control than any gel-infused memory foam toppers I have tried in years past. Happy, well-rested shopper here!

A renovation project has displaced me from my bedroom and I'm sleeping on an air mattress for an extended period. It's comfortable enough, but, like any air mattress, it saps body heat and I get unpleasantly cold at night, even with a fluffy mattress pad. I got this foam topper to combat the chill. The difference is incredible. I would have been happy if it had only blocked the chill, so I'm thrilled with the unanticipated benefits. My achy hips and back feel cradled in comfort and my overall sleep quality has improved (per my Fitbit sleep score). I suspect that it might retain too much body heat for comfortable summer sleeping on a regular mattress, but for my purposes, I couldn't be more pleased.
