I use it to store small parts. I still have not found storage trays the maximize useable drawer space …..and are a suitable size and height.

I only bought this for its dimensions but its not 37" tall its 35.5" tall, its not 18" deep ots 17.5" deep, and its not 30" wide its 26.5" wide. The Sheet metal is paper thin in some spots, the entire thing is only held together with a few tack welds, castors are plastic instead of metal and rubber and the wood top is actually bamboo instead of hardwood. All together not horrible quality but i wouldnt put heavy tools in it. ... show more

The first one was damaged UNDER the wooden topper, so it had to happen prior to leaving any manufacturing facility. It was also banged up. I initiated the UPS pickup return immediately and the second one came, also a little dinged up, but I needed it, and had to just suck it up vs. try a 3rd time.

The wood bench top obviously is a good look and is less slippery than metal, so you can do fine work a little better on the surface and things are less likely to just roll off, not to mention scratches aren't going to bother you as much. It's not a lid on a hinge, but you can move it (and flip it if you want) and there are two recessed to throw some smalle to medium pry bars, hammers, wrenches, extensions. Etc underneath it. It's pretty sturdy, and was surprised someone said theirs was cracked in shipment after getting ahold of mine, but anything is possible in shipping, and it isn't packed super well. Also, it did splinter some on one bottom corner; I think this is probably due to getting bounced off the corner post during rough handling while shipping. It's minor, though. There are shallow dents on the back panel of mine as a result, but really, that doesn't matter. Also, the flimsy box with the casters had broken in half around it's zip tie in the side of the bottom tray, so that stuff was all loose, but it sustained no scratches or lost parts. The drawers are a pretty standard smaller drawer height, just enough to get MOST hand tool sets/cases in. I do have one bigger Westward socket wrench set that doesn't quite fit the height of the drawers, just barely. My small to medium Pittsburgh, Craftsman, Mac, Matco, Snap-On, & Cornwell socket sets & such all clear the drawers fine. It's nice having four full width, decent clearance drawers in a shop cart, rather than 1, 2, 3, or "five" that are really basically 2 1/2. And I'd rather have the top drawer be a slide out than a top open, even if it is a little shallower than an open top drawer. The drawer handles and latching mechanisms are so-so construction, with just white paper inserts behind thin plastic sleeves on the front/labels of handles. Locking mechanism seems to work pretty well, though. The four drawers make the bottom tray a bit shorter than most 3 row drawer or less carts, but not much. It'll fit 5 qt jugs of oil, gallon jugs of fluids, and shop towels no problem, and even a quart jug with a small fluid pump on the top if you angle it in there first. It's just tall enough for common shop fluids and supplies without having wasted vertical space down there. The drawers seem to be a little thin material and probably not the most durable, but work fine enough; you should be able to put a good amount of weight in them if you aren't hard on them. This is an auxiliary cart, not a main shop box. Drawers don't come with liners, but you can get a roll of toolbox liner cheap enough. They're about 18" deep. The small (just about as big as a piece of paper) flip out tray on the left side is light duty, but has well designed hinges that should be sturdy & stay upright as long as you don't overload it or slam things down on it. There are about 7 screwdriver slots on each side of the box, the handle screws on with two pretty beefy philips bolts, though may need to be tightened periodically from my use. Casters seem reasonably sturdy and screw in nicely with lock washers. As nice shop carts go, it's probably a 5 - 7 out of 10.
