I have been walking with this cane on a regular basis for the past few months, and I'm impressed with its sturdiness and quality. The design is nice too - it helps me not feel like an old lady (I'm only 46) when people see me holding it. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is because the strap snapped off a couple of weeks ago, just when hanging it on a door hook. Other than that, this cane has served me well, and you can't beat the price. I'm not a small woman, and it's held up well to my weight. Recommended! ... show more

I have a back problem, and was afraid I'd fall while working in my gardens. This is perfect for keeping me steady while I'm moving around and trying not to step on the flowers. I would hesitate to use it as a walking aid in general, as it's kinda flimsy. I have osteoarthritis in my knee and pain in one ankle. So walking can be a problem. To prevent falling, I started using a cane. These canes are light weight but you can put your weight on them if you need to. I purchased the one with violet flowers, I get lost of compliments .
