I purchased these for a beach vacation a few months after plantar fasciitis and Achilles’ tendon surgery. I couldn’t walk without a shoe even after months and needed something that I could use on a beach, pool or just to wear. This shoe is super lightweight but has a cushion to the sole and even gives a little support. I added a heel pad as suggested by my surgeon. They were perfect for my needs and super cute being more like an athletic shoe look. I sometimes just wear them more like a tennis shoe rather than a water shoe. They’re not clunky looking or feeling like some and so far have shown excellent quality and durability. The only con is that like any other water type shoe, you might get tiny stones that come through the mesh walking on a beach. I also purchased a second pair in the black. Overall, I highly recommend. I bought these to protect my feet as I wade out in the sand and grass flats to fish. They are great! Comfy and true to size. No rubbing on my heel or toes. I can’t speak to how well they would work on a rockier substrate, but for a sandy beach, the dock or a boat…heck yes! 100%

FIRST OFF - I did NOT need to buy a full size smaller(or at least a half size smaller) which is what EVERYONE on here seems to be saying. I wear a 9.5 shoe and a 10 in running sneakers. So I went safe and bought the 9. Well thankfully I bought the 9 and not the 8.5. The 9 fits too snug. I'm not sure if I were to wear these for an extended amount of time they would rub too much or cause blisters. But for my trip they will be fine. But I would have probably liked the size 10 better since the 9.5 was not an option. I don't even need the "ties" on them to tighten them up on my foot, they are that snug! I bought these for my trip to Niagara Falls so I have a shoe to wear for the falls tours. I'll be on my motorcycle so I have to pack light and small. These flatten up really flat for packing. they have a lot of ventilation on top and bottom. I love the darker blue color with the white sole. I might buy the larger size, but I don't do a lot of "water" sports to make it worth the money. But so far so good, maybe after I wear them I'll have something to say about how safe they feel on wet surfaces and the durability. ... show more

I really like this water shoe and even wear it as a regular shoe. Just be cognizant that there are holes in the bottom for the water to drain out when using as a water shoe so might not be able wear them everywhere when not in water! Lol.
