The leather is soft and high quality. They do run a tad large like others have said, and the leather is soft and feels high quality so may stretch a bit. I am a true 7.5 and that is what I ordered. I plan to put a comfy footbed in there to take up the extra space. I have narrow legs/ankles and these look fine on me. I think you could definitely go down a size and let the leather naturally stretch out if you wish, or just fill up the space with a gel or memory foam footbed. The size wise was great, however they were extremely tight in calf… and I do not think my calf is that big… I would say it’s regular size. Quality look good, they look amazing… I wish I could keep them because it’s was great price. Sad that I had to return them.
