This DJI Mic Mini (1 TX + 1 RX) is pretty great. I use it with a DSLR bridge camera. The receiver fits great in the camera shoe and the TRS cable is unobtrusive. I love the magnet to attach the microphone to my shirt and it is so tiny. The microphone is so good I can replace my good Rode microphone and use the DJI even when I don't need the wireless. I had some trouble connecting the receiver to my phone to update it, but I figured it out. The price is great, some wired TRS lapel microphones cost more. The only small issue is there is a fraction of a second latency, so the audio may need to be shifted a hair in post. ... show more

Despite its small footprint, the build quality feels durable and premium—consistent with DJI’s reputation for well-engineered hardware. The primary job of any microphone is audio performance—and the Mic Mini performs exceptionally well for its size. The transmitter uses an omnidirectional microphone, allowing it to capture natural voice tones from any direction while reducing positioning problems. Clear and balanced vocal reproduction. Automatic limiting to prevent audio clipping. surprisingly rich and clean for such a tiny microphone. Wireless reliability is another strong point of the DJI Mic Mini.     • Didn't work for me but is a good mic.

I returned this. Not because it's a bad product but because it wasn't the right tool for me. The DJI mini is probably the best bang for your buck as long as you don't fall under the following categories. First, if you do a ton of action during recording the sound will have issues with clipping or being too quiet there was no middle ground. Second, if you have a booming low voice don't even try it. I was on the razor's edge between clipping the mic and being too low for editing even when standing still. If you pull up reviews of this mic you'll see that everyone has a middle to high pitched voice and they sound great but if you sang bass in the church choir then your mic selection will be your new job. As a bass voice running around while recording I recommend the Tascam dl10 or dl10 Pro. You'll have to sync in post and deal with a standalone audio file but it'll work every time. One day I'll try the newest DJI mic 3 when I find one on sale but till then I'm sticking with the old reliable Tascam clipped to my belt even though it's more cumbersome. ... show more
