They work. Not the brightest but functional. A little tough to figure out. Don’t count on the remotes as they don’t always respond and sometimes the “wrong” light catches the message. DMX ports are a peculiar size and only some cables will fit - this is actually my biggest complaint. If you are using them to set and forget, they’ll work. My band incorporated these lights into our regular stage lighting setup at our last gig. They worked well and are VERY bright! The provided "user guide" is more of a data sheet and has no text explaining the operation of the lights or the remote. Much more info is given right here on the Amazon product page. Why is this info not sent out to the customer with the product?? I don't get it. The remote works at a reasonable distance, but I would want it to work farther away. These lights alone would hardly be adequate stage lighting but as a supplement to an existing rig they are excellent! ... show more

Only played with these for 10minutes to check they work so bear that in mind. Ok the pros: They work, and are BRIGHT. They seem to have all the standard settings of led DMX par lights. The fades are great, really smooth and using the remote very easy to slow down speed up. Sound to light is very responsive. They are also very light weight. The not so great? Well they are completely plastic and do rattle a bit (I might open them and see why). The power cable is fixed (not a D cable). Overall these are incredible value for x2 36par, I would def recommend if on a budget. ... show more

I'm new to the current generation of LED lighting, so as I'm building up a portable lighting system for our band I thought I give these compact PAR lights a try. The light housings are smaller and don't feel quite as sturdy to me as some of the other comparably priced lights I'm using. The colors are great, however, and they do cover a decent stage area. First the hardware: I suppose for this price point, which is very low for professional PAR lighting, these are adequate. They aren't nearly as bright or sturdy as their more professional competitors, but they do put out a substantial narrow beam of light, as PAR lights should. Then trying to use them: I suppose if I were a user fluent in DMX these might be easy enough to use. But I'm not, and can't tell that for sure. I would like to use them with the remote (which only works from in front of the lights, not behind) or the buttons on the back of the unit. About those buttons: there is some small-letter printing above them. Actually, not printing, but inscribed so it is black on black and essentially impossible to read. I tried using them, and wasn't able to hack my way into a predictable way of setting the lights. The "manual" doesn't reference them at all. Then there is the remote. I have attached a picture of the "manual" in its entirety. Note that the labeling for the buttons is inscrutable. Whoever wrote it seems to have been motivated to use the least possible number of words, and choose words that bore some vague relationship to the function of the buttons. The labeling on the Amazon listing is better - evidently written by someone who actually is fluent in English - but still hardly adequate to make sense out of how to use the lights. The listing claims, "Whether you are a DMX professional or a hobbyist, LED party light effects can be easily controlled." Nope. Not by a long shot. ... show more

These are nice, simple lights that are very straightforward to use and will add some color and energy to your room or you show! They are plastic and pretty light, which is nice, but I'm not sure how they'd hold up with rough use. Tip: If you can't get one of these to come on, it might be in DMX mode, so push another button to switch modes. ... show more
