With a CR Spotless Water System, you can let your car air dry and not leave any spots behind. Besides cars, de- ionized water is perfect for washing and SPOT-FREE rinsing of your RV, boat, golf cart, motorcycle, and house windows, too! De-ionized water is the secret sauce that detailers, car washes, and window cleaners have used for decades. CR Spotless was the first to make the same technology available to homeowners in an affordable, compact, and portable system. Work smarter, not harder and spend less time and money to get the same professional looking results. The DIW-20 comes complete with 2 20 inch wall mounted cartridges containing a mixed bed of de-ionizing resin that will produce approximately 200 gallons of mineral-free water based on an average TDS level of 200 ppm. Depending on the quality of the water where you live, you can get between 75 and 1000 gallons of deionized water from one resin cartridge. All CR Spotless Water Systems also include a battery operated TDS meter that will measure the quality of the water coming out of the system. Not sure how many washes I'm gonna a get out of this before I need to replace the filters, but seeing as I only use it for the final quick rinse, it should last a few months from what I've heard. Foamed, cleaned and rinsed my car. Then ran the water thru spotless for the final quick rinse. Left the car out in the Florida sun without drying it. It dried to perfection. Not a single water spot Not even on my windows which I always have to come behind and clean to wipe away the hard water spots. Great product. Man I hope these filters last a while because I would hate to have to spend $100+ a month exchanging them. Great product!! ... show more

This exceeded my expectations. I have a black car that I was always chasing water runs on and that is no longer an issue. My PPM went from about 160 to 0. I no longer have to spend so much time drying. I truly get a spot free rinse now. Would absolutely recommend.

Expensive, yes. Expensive to maintain, yes. However, this is a very well made product and works as it should. I use it purely as a spot free rinse with the included hose end sprayer. This takes all the stress of trying to hurry up and clean then dry a vehicle away. Likewise, trying to deal with annoying hard water spots is now a thing of the past. I have very hard water (350-400 tds) and so far I’m at 4 rinses on an average sized SUV with the meter still reading 0 tds. Mounted this to a 2x4 with sufficient width to then screw it into studs which are 16” on center. ... show more

Echoing what all others have been saying for years, but this is a game changer. Doing the rinse with DI shaves off so much time in regular washes and not having to worry about chasing drips with a towel for hours is almost life-changing. I have low ~100PPM TDS muni water with hopes the resin will last and will likely be quick to get the rv-mods conversion to remove the need for the spotless cartridges, but we'll see how long this lasts as I lock down my optimal rinse time. ... show more

    • Various "PROS" with a huge "CON"; A professional detailer's point of view

Edit after 2 years of use: - Company reduced the price of the filters from $149.00 to $139.00. - The centering rings are horrible, they break all the time but you can center the filters without them with some patience, so you will learn how to replace the filters without them with time. - I replaced the Hose Fitting that goes into the filter for brass ones. Home Depot has them for cheap. - If you live in a place with cold winters, make sure to take the filters out of their blue casing . They expand and will break the casing. - To save your filter, wash your vehicle with regular water and only rinse with the filtered water. Original message: I am a professional detailer and I've been using this product for a while. Since most reviews are from costumers that only use it a few times a month, I am going to give my point of view as a professional detailer that works with this filter multiple times a week. You can use it with about 4-5 cars while getting readings at 0 ppm and the results are really good. From then on, you're going to have readings on the lower end (1-7) for another 3-4 cars. From then on you have to keep an eye on water spotting to determine when to change filters. CR Spotless recommends changing filters with readings of 3ppm but for the prices that the Resin/Refill goes for, it's completely unsustainable to do so and that's the MASSIVE con about it; The resin refill for this unit costs $149.00 and makes this product very costly to maintain, specially as a professional. You spend $400+ on the unit and $149/month makes it almost $1,800.00/year only on resin. (using it for longer than recommended by CR spotless, with readings above the recommended 3PPM otherwise you would have to replace the resin twice a month at least making your early cost up to a ludicrous $3,600.00/year) Overall it's a great product but I wish the company offered a better/cheaper option for the resin required for it's maintenance. ... show more

-1st time using filters was amazing -2nd time saw spots -3rd time was horrible and so on… Since I bought this for my RV, I use it once a month or so. I called the company to see what they had to say. They had me test a few things and ended with product is working fine. It’s my city water that’s clogging the filter too quick. They seemed to accept that I needed to buy new filters for each use and this was acceptable to them. It wasn’t to me. I asked for a refund and since it had been a couple months they said “no refund will be given” HORRIBLE customer service. ... show more

How did I not know about this. I have a large black dually truck and large boat. No car washes around here that fit it. I wax them constantly to help with the water spots when I wash them.
