I didn’t think anything would really get the job done on tough water spots on my car windows from the sprinkler system but this stuff is amazing!! Don’t believe what you read in reviews on side view mirrors… follow the instructions on the label, watch their videos online and you’ll have perfect results. I will say that for extra hard water spots on my car windows I did use 0000 steel wool instead of the microfiber pad (and the Chemical Guys would probably not recommend you do that) but it did the trick! You can see the before and after of my window. The second pic is how mirrored the glass was after. NOTE… do not rush the process on glass! Take your time and just keep going over the glass until you start to see and feel it getting tacky. Then wash the glass and spray with a speed wipe solution. Also, DO NOT use the 0000 steel wool on the cars paint!!! The microfiber pad works perfectly on the paint! ... show more

I have been plagued by water spots for years. I’ve tried every trick and tip and never had any real success until now. I recently tried the Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover from Chemical Guys and was absolutely impressed. I started in a small area inconspicuous as instructed to make sure it gave the desired affect without any unwanted issues. Within seconds I could see how well it was working. I followed the instructions only working in small areas at a time. This allows you to control the product better. It does give off an odor from I take it the active ingredients so I worked on my car outside my garage with no issues. The final result from just using the heavy duty water spot remover is amazing. I still need to polish and seal the finish still but I am thrilled to finally have a solution to a problem that’s infected my car for as long as I can remember. I know it’s long winded but I can’t say enough good about this product. I also recommend the 12 pack of microfiber towels from Chemical Guys for the application process. Good towels make the job way easier. I Highly recommend trying this if you are tired of looking at a water spot covered car truck or boat. This product worked on my car windows just as well as it did on the paint. There are a couple pictures from before using the remover just after a basic soap and water wash. I had purchased a used car that came from California. Half of it had these water spots on it that I could not get rid of. Whether it was saltwater, acid rain, who knows, but I tried everything. Washed it. Water and vinegar. I even used a clay bar, and it wouldn’t touch it. This stuff tho? Wow. I’m blown away. I put a bit of it on a microfiber towel (didn’t have an applicator pad) rubbed it back and forth a few times, and the water spots disappeared. This worked great for my car that had been blasted by a crazy sprinkler for 1-2 weeks and car was baked in the sun for ~2months after. I was not able to remove the hard water spots with a regular wash or detail. Vinegar/Water 50/50 solution did sort of work, but I hated how the water can easily spread onto other sections of the car that I did not want to work on yet. This is a gel form so i can specifically target a smallish area and not need to worry about a solution drying (which can be bad as it'll continue to etch). I used their detailer spray as well. The only thing was after applying the spot remover, I would go over the area with detailer spray 2x, just to make sure it is completely gone/neutralized. After the sections were done (hood of the car), I followed up with some spray on wax (from Griots) First time using these 3 products, but was great. The griot's spray smelled really good too. I did not mind any of the scents from these 3 products, vingear is definitely more potent smell than the spot remover, and when followed up with the chemical guys detail spray, you don't even smell it anymore. ... show more

I hadn’t been able to get the water spots off the chrome that’s sprinkled on my odyssey. Definitely follow directions and do a small section at a time or you’ll have more to try and clean/buff off. But it didn’t require much in the way of elbow grease - I applied and then cleaned, then applied and cleaned and it’s pretty good! I’m going to try it on my husband’s old truck - it’s for a sub-par paint job and water spots… figure it’s worth a shot! ... show more

I ordered this a couple of years ago when my truck was still new. Never really used it, but this past month I tried it on a couple of hose windows that were pretty well water spotted. Alone, this didn't really help with the stubborn spots. What I did find is if I add some DE (diatomaceous earth) and a bit of water, I can easily remove the spots using a green scratchy pad. I could not recommend this product anymore. I had built up watermarks on my car for five months all through the Arizona summer. Absolutely nothing worked to get it off and this product worked magic.
