  • Rich and fun!
Format: Paperback
I absolutely love this series! I now own three of the books and will eventually buy more. The arrangements are not hard to learn if you enjoy sight reading and are not afraid of jazz rhythms or accidentals. Buy with a sense of adventure. These are rich jazz harmonizations. Don't complain about the chord selections if you want a jazz book. If you want straight Disney sing-alongs buy a different book. These don't come with words, but the chord notations are helpful for checking notes, understanding progressions, and even adding your own variations. If you don't get the style of the pieces listen to more jazz. It's the only way to learn. I won't comment about the specific arrangements but I think they all have something to offer. It's a matter of taste, mood, and preference. ... show more

  • this series has given me a great outlet for my love of jazz
Format: Paperback
These are outstanding arrangements and a blast to play. As a classically trained pianist that does not have time to learn jazz improvisation and arranging, this series has given me a great outlet for my love of jazz. I have several books in this series and I particularly like the ones arranged by Brent Edstrom. I hope Hal Leonard continues to publish more of these books as I feel they fill a much needed and often overlooked niche. ... show more

  • Some very nice jazz oriented pieces
Format: Paperback
Some might give these boos a 5 star rating and depending on your taste they might be more correct. There are some very nice jazz oriented arrangements. A Bossa Nova treatment of A Whole New World is very good. Frankly some are better then others, but overall they are above average. Not for beginners and closer to late intermediate players. ... show more

  • Love this! Beautiful arrangements
Format: Paperback
Love this! Beautiful arrangements, that looks simple (key of C! lot of quarter, dotted quarter and eight notes!) but in fact include unusual voicings -what IS E7#5(#9)? - that sound great when transcribed.

  • Good, peacfull jazz music.
Format: Kindle
Some of them are easy, some of them are hard. Jazzy sounds and melodic chords. If you like Disney music, and jazz, this is for you. I bought this becouse i wanted to play Disney music, and this was book, which I found the hardest.

  • Fun arrangements - intermediate player
Format: Paperback
Some arrangements are better than others and i wish there was some accenting on the “improv” solos to help me pick out the melody as I sight read. But i love the jazzy twist on familiar classics.

  • Too Jazzy
Format: Paperback
Be aware that they’re very jazzy arrangements and not simple sweet Disney music.

  • Best arrangements I've found
Format: Kindle
Love all these books. Great arrangements, not too difficult, and usually in the same key as the original - and lead sheet so you can go back and forth between them.
