This is a phenomenal game. I’m a huge fan of Symphony of the Night, Hollow Knight, Metroid, etc. and this game really scratched the itch. There is almost no combat in this game unlike the games mentioned above, however do not let this dissuade you. Exploring the island map, platforming through increasingly complicated areas and unlocking all your abilities are all incredibly satisfying. There are also tons of collectibles that range from all throughout the history of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. The voice acting was great, and the game runs smooth as butter on the switch. I had 0 crashes and not a single problem while playing the game with performance. The soundtrack was beautiful, and all the visuals were amazing on the OLED in handheld. You can also play this game with local multiplayer with up to four people total. Couch co-op is always an amazing aspect of any game nowadays in my opinion, especially if you want to play with your family or friends who happen to come over. All in all, this is a must own if you like Disney, Mickey and friends, metroidvanias, platforming, great music and visuals, and engaging local co-op. ... show more

I am not a fan of video games, but my preteen son loves them. This is a great game that we can play together. It is easy to learn and use. I love how we have to work together to problem solve and unlock a new part of the map. My kids played this together on our road trip down to Disney and loved it.

This is a great introductory platform game to play with your younger kids. I bought this for my 6 yr old son’s birthday and he loves it. You can adjust the difficulty anywhere to no difficulty to average difficulty. The story is good and engaging for kids and funny. The animation is similar to Disney Worlds Mickey&Minnies runaway train ride. You can play up to 4 players, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy and each have their own special abilities. ... show more

    • The Disney/Mickey Mouse co-op platformer I didn’t realize I had to play

This is a chill co-op exploration based collectathon platformer that you can also play solo, which is how I played it. Don’t let the Disney coat of paint fool you; it isn’t just for kids. Platforming and avoiding enemies (there’s no combat) is easy enough early on but the more you progress the trickier it becomes. I wouldn’t necessarily say it gets more difficult, just trickier. Although I think the young ones will need an adult’s help to complete it. However some of the enemy placement/behavior late game can seem a bit cheap as hits seem unavoidable sometimes. However none of it had me rage quitting and I was able to complete the game. Now on to getting all the collectibles I missed, which I’m looking forward to. Recommend. ... show more
