  • As a former mogami user, these are quite possibly the best cables i have ever used.
Size: 6.6 feet
I am absolutely blown away by the quality of these cables. I randomly ordered some cables from this company (is it Disino or Tisino? amazon doesn't even seem to know what it is when you search...) I do not exaggerate when i say that I believe that these cables are actually equal to or possibly SUPERIOR to the highest quality of Japanese Mogami cables! FYI, I have made 100s of meters of instrument and microphone cables from Mogami quad neglex wire and Neutrik connectors. Mogami is widely considered to be the best cables available at any price... (unless you are a crazy who spends 1000 dollars on one cable with active correction for skin effect...). Anyway, Mogami cables have become available to the consumer market, but those still aren't mogami quad neglex. you basically have to make your own cables, if you want those. so... i'm a bit of a connoisseur, but I like a good deal... Anyway, I need some cables quick, and i had just got burned buying those overpriced garbage "Live Wire" cables they are pedaling at Guitar Center now. Anyway, i wasn't about to waste anymore money on that junk, and I noticed Disino (Tisino?) cables were prime shipping and reasonably cheap, so I bought a few, not expecting much. I was basically hoping they wouldn't suck as bad as the Live Wire cables, but i didn't expect them to be exceptional in any way... I was using the stupid live-wires (and some hosa cables which are not great, but at least they are cheap) to wire up some hand-me-down equipment. the equipment was an old compact soundcraft mixer, (from the 90s, i think). and i had been unpleasantly surprised at how i was getting almost no headroom from the preamps, everything sounded shrill to the point i felt obliged to turn the treble and mid controls all the way down... i was connecting the mixer to a mackie srm150 (which I know well to be a very good and accurate speaker for it's size/price range. I have used a modern soundcraft mixer before, my friend had one at the upstairs bar of his club for a while, and i remember that I quite liked, it but i thought... maybe people had lower standards in the 90s... and this was a low-end personal, portable mixer... I mean i thought it had to be the mixer... well, then i connected the mixer to the speaker using the Disino cable i got... i was thinking... wow did the mixer fix itself? how could that be? i wasn't even thinking about how it might be the cable making things sound much better. now, keep in mind, that i still had all the other connections made with junky cables live-wire or Hosa, mostly... so, i still needed some more cables, and i decided to get some more Disinos or Tisinos or whatever the heck they are called... Now, this is where the magic really happened. every cable i swapped out, i noticed marked improvements in every aspect from vastly increased headroom (before distortion) to spectral accuracy (i no longer felt the need to bizzarely eq each channel) to increased power transfer. Before, Disino cables came into my life, I was cranking the mackie srm150 to almost full volume and gain, (150 watt class D speaker, so it should get loud enough to be unpleasant at full volume). I was even wondering if the speaker was defective, or maybe if mackie had lowered their quality standards... but why would they change an old standby to make it worse? Well, now, i turn the gain and volume on the speaker up about a quarter of the way for normal listening... which has always been my normal experience with these speakers when using Mogami wires.... lousy wiring was literally blocking 3/4 of the signal from reaching the speakers! Well, it gets even better than that... yesterday, I used one of the cables to connect a device directly to the speaker. Now, this is when i was absolutely floored! Using a device i'm familiar with, i connected it directly to a speaker which i have used (the same model) regularly for a decade. I'm very familiar with the characteristics of this speaker. I'm currently listening to an album which i have listened to maybe a thousand times in the past decade... (The album is Binaerpilot's 2010 release, Nordland, btw... if you haven't heard Binaerpilot and like chiptunes or good electronic music or just good music, do yourself a favor and head over to archive.org and download the discography, which the artist has made available for free. You can also get the albums from bandcamp and donate if you like paying for things or giving money to great musicians who give their music to for free!) And I am hearing details in every single tune that i have never heard before... that's why i say that these cables are possibly even better than Mogami... and for the price, there is no reason to buy anything else. at this point, I would only buy Mogami if i needed to wire up a whole studio, or some other situation where i needed many custom-length runs of cabling. Otherwise, I'm gonna use Disino or Tisino or whatever... until the chinese figure out how to play vinyl records directly into my synapes with their crazy chinese magic! ... show more

  • Nearly two years later these are still all operational
Size: 6.6 feet
Note that I am using these in a live setting and not for studio applications. I think that is an important distinction because I am not listening for spurious noise or transients that would ruin a recording. Frankly I have not noticed any of those, but they really need to be captured in order to verify that they exist, and that just does not happen in a live setting, What I am saying is my five star rating is strictly for live use. In my settings (live and rehearsal) these have proven to be quiet for those situations, and robust. By robust I mean that that have mainly been used as patch cables, but have been inserted and removed numerous times over the past two years without a hitch. That gives me a lot of confidence in how well they are made, and the quality of the components with which they are constructed. I have other patch XLR cables that have gone bad in less time, Overall, I trust these cables. I took a chance when I purchased them because I had never heard of the brand, but they have held up and therein lies their value: solid cables at a decent price. ... show more

  • Solid build quality
Size: 3.3 feet
These cables are great, especially if you need to color code your cable runs as we did for an XLR patch bay. The colors are easily seen in the back of dark studio racks. The cables feature high quality XLR connectors. It would be great to have an 8-channel / 8 color option as well as the 6 channel / 6 color cable set in this kit. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Like the colors
Size: 6.6 feet
For routing signals to the right channels, I like the rainbow colors of the various 6 cables. I am using these with 6 Behringer microphones and it works great.

  • Great cable at a reasonable price
Size: 3.3 feet
I use these at live concerts several times a month. Very durable and consistent. Have not had any type of problem. I like the multi color feature so I can color code different channels (vocals versus guitars, etc.)

  • You Can't Go Wrong Purchasing These Cables!
Size: 3.3 feet
These short cables are awesome! I have been installing PA equipment for years and I could have saved money by using these cables compared to the ones that I thought was more professional. The different colors are great to identify the sources being used. Even if you don't need 6 cables, the cost is less than purchasing 2-3 from a brand name which you wouldn't know the difference in the sound usage. I’m very satisfied with these cables and will purchase more when needed. ... show more

  • Really nice cables but 6' 6" is awkward length
Size: 6.6 feet
I purchased these cables due to the reviews and looking over the construction, hoping they would be long enough for what I needed. And they ARE really nice cables, but 6' 6" is just not a good length for my purposes. It's too long for a patch cable, and too short for a mic cable. 10' would be better, 15' would be perfect for a small venue mic cable. But again, the construction is top notch. ... show more

  • Good quality short haul cables
Size: 6.6 feet
I got these because we purchased a new mixer. The old cables were xlr on one end and 1/4 inch jacks at the other. I got these to replace the old cables. The colors are nice and it makes identifying them very easy. They're good quality workmanship and the sound quality is what you'd expect with xlr connections. ... show more
