Order wayyyyyy in advance to make sure the one you get isn’t smashed crooked in the packaging. We tried to get ours back into shape but the bend between the eye seems permanent. Over all great looking and easy to wear, though latex masks are always hot and stuffy.

A mask for this character is not easy to come by. As far as I'm aware, there are only three official Jack Skellington Masks licensed by Disney. This one. A Plastic face mask with elastic band. And another Vinyl mask that comes with a Full costume. It's the same as this, but Jacks mouth is closed. Like other reviewers, My mask had a few creases and dents from packaging/shipping. To fix this, I had stuffed the mask with some bed sheets and used a blow dryer to take out most of the wrinkles and dents. There's still a few that wont go away (top of the head is most noticeable), but it made the mask look way better. As for the design of the mask, I love it. It looks exactly like one of the expressions that had been included with my Medicom Toys Replica Jack Skellington. Since that was made to scale and with reference to the Real Puppet used in he film, It's a good way to judge authenticity. I purchased this for a costume to use this year, for Christmas. Yes, I know, Halloween Costumes for Christmas? Preposterous. But anyone who would buy this can't deny, it's the perfect accessory to the Christmas season. There is a bit of an odor when putting on the mask, that is from the Vinyl being new. There is a Plastic insert, that is attached to the mask by those little plastic ties you find on clothes (and holding the sign to the mask). Be careful to cut these, or you may harm the mask. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the mask, and suggest it to anyone who is looking for a gift for a Nightmare Before Christmas fan in their life. ... show more

This mask is INCREDIBLE. At this price, I honestly wasn't expecting much. When it arrived, I could not believe my eyes. It's beautiful. Some people have complained about the smell. Yes, it does have a very strong chemical smell when you first open it. I would never be able to wear it with the scent being so strong. But it's an easy fix. I placed it upside down on top of a plastic bag and set it outside for 2 nights. The smell was completely gone. I've worn the mask many times since and the smell has not returned. I am in love with this mask and am so happy to have it in my collection. If you're thinking about buying it but aren't sure about the quality, BUY IT! It's stunning.     • Great mask after a bit of modification

It worked well for its intended purpose (Santacon) but I needed to modify it a bit to make it more comfortable. Using my trusty X-Acto blade, I was able to get a lot more airflow and actually breathe. 1. I made the ear holes much larger by carving with an X-Acto blade. I then used some white cheesecloth-like fabric (attached from the inside) so the holes weren't as visible from afar. 2. I used my X-Acto blade to widen some of the holes in the mouth, and slit most of the black stitches as well. Then I used a Sharpie to color in the freshly cut rubber to match. The thing did arrive in a pretty deformed state, so I used the packing paper from the rest of my Amazon order and crammed it into the mask. I left it that way for a few days (which also helped air it out a bit) and all was great. To get that 5th star, better airflow and acoustics would have been required. My mods made up for that shortfall well enough :) ... show more

Looks wise I would give this mask a five out of five. However, there’s a really strong smell and we’re trying to air it out. It would be unwearable long-term at this point, so I hope this smell goes away. I debated a lot about whether to buy this mask, the other Jack Skellington mask design, or just do the face with makeup. Ultimately, I got this mask, and I am reasonably happy with it. My main issue with it is that I'd rather they'd chosen another expression for Jack's face; this one is kind of goofy and doesn't really scream "Jack" to me. I'd rather have a bit more style in the eyes, etc. I modified this mask effectively using black paint, making the eyes more expressive and "Jack-like." I also increased the size of the hole in the mouth so that I could more easily drink while wearing it. The product arrived in perfect condition. It has a plastic insert, which you can remove and then stuff the head with clothing, etc., to make sure it's nice and round for when you wear it. It does have a plasticky smell, as you would expect and other commenters have noted. When wearing it, it's difficult to see and quite sweaty. However, it's a great mask and these problems are probably unavoidable with a latex mask. Overall, I'm really pleased with the purchase, although I think another expression on Jack's face would have been great. ... show more
