Beautiful plasma ball at a great price for the size. Actual rating is 3½ stars (not supported) because gas presumably leaked within a few weeks greatly reducing the sharpness of the plasma. I have had many plasma balls over the years and all but one exhibited the same problem, so it's pretty common.

This thing is great, setting for touch and sound sensitive to become active its like my "sleep" mode as i continue about my day itll flicker every once in while when I'm not expecting it, a pleasant surprise periodically. another thing i like about this globe is the way the electricity moves around in the globe vs other globes, the last one i had the electricity moved MUCH faster it was almost anxious kind of energy, but this globe has a nice flow to it, much more relaxing. idk if it's the difference in frequencies or what but its nice. ... show more

I do supervise when in use because cats have a tendency to knock things off tables. The plasma ball was a suggestion of a TikTok friend of mine. We got our plasma globe a month ago and have turned it on maybe a half dozen times at most. Today, it has stopped functioning properly. Instead of multiple clear streaks of energy as intended, there are now only 2-3 dim, hazy, diffused blurs displayed. Touching the globe surface no longer attracts a line; it instead results in a muted pink spot about the size of a nickel on the glass. Attempting to get support through Amazon has resulted in a link to a page on the Discovery.com website which isn't at all applicable. I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but we ended up with a paperweight and I have no idea how else to get support. If Amazon or the manufacturer would offer to replace this item, we'd be ecstatic and more than happy to update this review! ... show more
