A friend recommended Dinovite after using it with her pup. I was excited to try it because my boy has itchy skin and a bit of a sensitive tummy. I was a little surprised by the suggested amount per day (3 scoops) as he only gets about 2 cups per day and that was a lot mixed in with his food. It has a slightly musty odor and reminds me of dirt and grass all ground up, lol. I started out using only one scoop per day and have stuck with that dose for a couple of months and I feel that it’s making a difference. He’s able to enjoy more “snacks” without an upset tummy but the biggest difference is in his skin and coat. His skin is fantastic and his coat is so shinny! His groomer even commented that all her clients are complaining about their dogs shedding but that my boy is barely shedding at all! She asked me to send her the information to share this product with others. Compared to last year he’s shedding about a quarter of what he did! My dog has chosen to go hungry rather than eat this on his good. He gets a scoop of high quality kibble, a couple of spoons of canned food and zi only out one scoop of this product on his food. I have to splash some chicken bone broth and I usually put a bit of water. He has utterly refused to eat it. Now Zi have to figure out how to cancel the auto renew. Bought this to help our GSD with dry itchy skin. Gave it to him exactly as directed, he loved the taste and would eat all his food instead of picking at it, his coat did look amazing and his hair was growing back. It unfortunately didn’t do much in terms of helping the itching or dry skin.

This is a powder form. I thought it was a pill/tablet form. Still, it comes with a scoop, so no problem. However, I put it on my dog's food this afternoon and mixed it with his favorite thing - chicken stock - and he wouldn't touch it 😕. I had a Belgian Sheepdog with itchy, dry skin and he had lost his hair in spots. I took him to the vet and he was put on prednisone, which helped until it ran out, then it came right back. We have 4 dogs. The Labradors and foxhound are doing great on dinovite. They like the taste and are healthy and happy. But, if any of your pets have allergies, do your research first. Our German shepherd is allergic to so many things, including grass and many weeds. The alfalfa in this formula really made him sick, and that’s my fault for not making the connection first or asking our vet about it for him. It’s a great product though, and I don’t blame dinovite.
