See the resin, hardener, fiberglass cloth and mixing supplies inside the kit. Take a closer look at the epoxy putty stick, sanding pad, wipes and applicators. Get a closer look at the cloth’s woven texture as it comes out of the package. Remove wax, dirt and loose material. Let the area dry completely, then sand around the ding. ix 2 parts resin (A) with 1 part hardener (B). Stir well, scraping the cup's sides and bottom. Place fiberglass cloth over the prepared area. Wet it with mixed epoxy and smooth out air bubbles. Allow about 6-8 hours at 77°F. Temperature affects cure time. Follow the kit instructions. Once fully hardened, sand the repair to blend the edges. Inspect the repair before use. Real customer photos show a damaged surfboard nose before and after repair. Nose Repairs Cut cloth to fit a prepared nose repair. Missing foam may also require a suitable filler. Tail Repairs Add fiberglass reinforcement over a prepared tail repair using compatible resin. Curved Edges Pliable cloth follows curved rails to reinforce prepared repairs with compatible resin. Which resin should I use on an epoxy board? Choose an epoxy-compatible repair resin. Do not use polyester resin on exposed EPS foam—it can damage the foam. Can I use epoxy resin on a polyester board? Yes. Ding All epoxy repair resin works on both epoxy and polyester surfboards. Do all repair kits need sunlight? No. Resin mixed with hardener cures without sunlight. SunCure resin, including the bonus tubes in Super kits, needs UV exposure. What is Q-Cell filler used for? Q-Cell thickens resin to fill deeper dings and missing foam. For resin-and-hardener systems, mix the hardener into the resin before adding Q-Cell. Is working time the same as cure time? No. Working time is the time available to apply mixed resin. Cure time is the time needed for it to harden. Follow your kit’s instructions before returning to the water.
