Usually, when I purchase a paint by number from Amazon, it's a rolled cloth including all paints and 3 cheap but effective brushes. This is a nice hard surface, included 1 great quality brush and a key for colors you'll have to make/mix. Sounds fun and I'm excited to mix colors to make other colors! This was my first paint by number kit. I bought this because I was interested in trying a new project. The product is good and comes with everything you need to complete it. The info sheet it comes with has all the mixing combinations for you. I didn't realize how many colors would have to be mixed but that isn't a huge deal. Be prepared for this to take a lot of time. There are a lot of REALLY tiny spaces to complete. I had to go over certain numbers multiple times as the paint color was too thin to hide the number. If you really take your time, the picture does turn out really well. When working on a mixed color, try and get all of that number done in one sitting so you do not have to try and match the color again. I would recommend this to people new to paint by number as well as experienced. However, if you are a rookie, be prepared for a little bit more tedious work. ... show more

I threw this one out after doing about half of it. I do not like that it requires the user to mix the colors and find certain cells on the chart.

I've bought some really crappy paint by numbers before but Paint Works never let's me down. Their paint is very opaque and covers numbers/lines very nicely. Never had any dry paint pots either. Some other brand kits have very thin paint that requires multiple coats. Not this brand!
