If there was something between Slim Taper and Skinny I would buy that because there isn't enough room around ankles for any sort of boots. The waist is not the same measurement as where they will actually fit on the body but if you are familiar with Dickie's you would know they have always been this way. It is what it is and so if you expect to wear them at or below the hipbones add probably two inches. *The 5th pocket on the right thigh is a little smaller than previous "cell phone pocket" and perfect for a bulky vaporizer and is not deep enough to interfere with movement of the knee. This is the feature I buy them for, actually! These pants are not as durable as they could be but also not as expensive which makes them more or less ideal for work clothing so long as it does not conflict with footwear requirements. Be aware that the belt loops are a bit small. I would hope this can be improved in the future because it is different from what you would expect but not what I would call a problem. ... show more
