I maintain the High Adventure gear list for some local scout troops. This jacket is now at the top of the list in the light/mid weight jacket category. The fact that it is also water resistant is a huge bonus. I avoided buying it for a year because of the top-ranked negative review that states the arms aren't fleece-lined. What that review fails to mention is that the arms DO HAVE INSULATION. And, in my opinion, it is correct to NOT have fleece in the arms because fleece is not as forgiving for arm movement as the nylon/polyester material that they use. I do agree with the reviews that state the arms are a little short. I usually wear a Medium but I had to go up to a Large to get the right arm size. I'm not sure if they're sizing it that way to allow for multiple sublayers(?) There is elastic at the wrists which prevents the sleeves on the larger size from interfering with my hands. The medium weighs 16.2 ounces and compacts very nicely.

this is my favorite jacket, I had a black for long time and now I got the gray. I am glad this brand keeps the same products for so long. I hate when a cloth that I like have some issue and I will never be able to get the same clothe again.

This was received on time and product is as expected. We like that even though it's "lightweight" it keeps the wearer warm and the wind doesn't go through it. It was great in the rain too! I would buy this product again.

While the jacket is comfortable to wear and keeps the wearer warm and dry (tested in heavy rains), the buyer should be aware that Dickies sizes this jacket at least one size larger than stated. For example, the large is closer to an X-Large. In fact, I went two sizes smaller than my other jackets in order to find a comfortable fit. Unfortunately, this cost me two returns shipment package slips that I'll never get back. This jacket is available at Dickies. I recommend finding a local Dickies and trying the jacket on before purchase. Quality of the jacket is good.
