If your decor is clean and uncluttered, and you expect everything to do what it's designed to do without fanfare, these sleek little coasters should fit right in. They absorb condensation readily and protect furniture from water rings, just like a coaster is expected to do, but they are made something unique and unexpected, and actually somewhat clever. The craftsmanship is very good for the price and the gray is a nice, neutral color. Plain water and condensate absorb quickly and dry without leaving marks (so far), but I suspect that other liquids will stain the stones. There was a piece of sanding paper enclosed with the coasters for this. Also, the bottoms are not cushioned with anything, and even though the stone is soft and fine grained, I am not certain they won't scratch the wood surfaces they are supposed to protect.

These coasters are awesome they aren’t heavy but they are super solid (they don’t crumble or rub off everywhere). The type of stone these are made of is so interesting, I’ve never seen a STONE absorb water so well. These have a timeless look to them, are great quality, and can work with most house hold styles. This coaster set even includes sandpaper that can be used to smooth or remove any scratches should they occur. The price $17 (at the time of this review) seems reasonable for the quality of the items that is included. Overall, if you’re looking for quality, long lasting, and elegant coasters I would highly recommend these.

I really like these new drink coasters. The stone aesthetic is nice, and the uneven and imperfect shape makes them look more natural. I think that they look really nice when used outside, and seem to fit the overall landscape well, with rocks and trees nearby. They are lightweight and have a little bit of a texture or grain on the surface, which may help glasses from sliding off of the them. The coasters help to absorb water and keep your glass from leaving a wet ring on your table. They also air-dry pretty quickly. Glasses with cold beverages can form condensation, which will leave permanent rings on your table. These coasters will absorb that water and protect your table from damage! They are also durable enough to have taken several hard falls off my counter onto the hardwood floor and have not shown any signs damage. I hope to use these for a long time!

Nice addition to coffee table for glasses, but also on kitchen or bathroom counters. I found I like them by my kitchen sink to set wet sponge or soap dispenser bottle on. Also put one next to bathroom sink to sit my electric toothbrush on after use for water to drop down on. Good size for larger glasses that sweat, especially in south Texas summer.

This set of four coasters is made from diatomaceous earth which is an absorbing stone. It quickly absorbs water and dries within minutes. Its irregular shape gives it a modern feel. The dark gray-blue color complements my decor. I was looking for a small tray to place next to the faucet in the kitchen. It's an area where water often splashes from the sink, as it is a space between the actual faucet and the sprayer nozzle. I am trying to be proactive and keep water from constantly sitting on the granite. (That area needs resealing more than the rest of the countertop). The coaster is just what I needed and is the perfect size. As for water condensing on cold glasses, it is quickly wicked away before it can stain furniture. The set also came with a small sanding circle useful to clear off any stain from dark drinks. I found it was also useful to store the coasters on, when not being used. It keeps them from sliding.
