Features

  • HIGH QUALITY: The Diamondback Science team has been developing world-class diamond products for the energy industry for more than 40 years. Members of the team recently developed a proprietary Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) nozzle to be used in 3D printing that can handle the most challenging applications! Easier to clean and reduces tip clogging, improves layer adhesion, has a solid diamond tip, any filaments, longer life, lowers operating temperature, and delivers unmatched wear resistance!
  • PRECISION PRINT: Our nozzles rely on a solid diamond tip to improve precision 3D printing. The tip is not a diamond coating, but rather a solid diamond substrate made of polycrystalline diamond. Not only is our diamond the hardest material in the world, but it also provides best-in-class thermal conductivity, or heat transfer capability. Easily transfers heat from the hotend through the nozzle and into the filament--ensuring more precision printing and better layer adhesion on every print!
  • ANY FILAMENT: Diamondback relies on a proprietary and patented diamond technology. This breakthrough technology allows 3D printers to print any filament on the same nozzle. A DiamondBack nozzle can easily print standard PLA and ABS filaments AND highly abrasive carbon fiber-embedded filaments without having to worry about changing out the nozzle! Also it allows 3D printing using PLA Copper, Iron, and Carbon Fiber!
  • LONGER LIFE: The Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) used in every DiamondBack nozzle will significantly extend the overall life of the nozzle. The extreme hardness, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity of this unique material make it an ideal solution for 3D printing. Delivers high thermal conductivity, low coefficient of friction, and high fracture toughness. Extends the tool life of other applications in other industries by 2 to 8 times the life of tungsten carbide and other hard metals!
  • SPECIFICATIONS: It is recommended that DiamondBack Nozzle users follow the operating specifications provided by each 3D printer manufacturer and each filament supplier. DiamondBack Nozzle temperatures should not exceed 300 Celsius.

  • Works great, on the original design, the diamond insert can come out, fixed in later revisions
Size: 0.6mm
Bought April 2022. Printed more than 40kg of PA6-CF through this nozzle, works quite well, prints were consistent and I never experienced a clog. After a little over a year the tip of the nozzle came out. I contacted customer service, and they quickly fixed the issue and indicated that they had made revisions since I first purchased to eliminate that issue. I was considering buying the hardened CHT style next, but I expect those to clog more often, and these print nearly as much volumetrically. I would purchase it again. I hope they release a high-flow version of the nozzle too, I expect their diamond tip to print much faster than an equivalent CHT-hardened steel. ... show more

  • Fantastic nozzle, and hopefully the last I'll ever need.
Size: 0.4mm
This nozzle prints very well, though you might need to tailor your printing temps down a bit given it's much more conductive.

  • Worth every penny
Size: 0.4mm
$100 for a nozzle sounds crazy right? A coworker convinced me to buy it, even said they'd buy it from me if I didn't like it. Well, after a few multi hour/day prints I can say this is the best printer upgrade I've installed so far. I was going thru cooper and hardened steel nozzles so frequently, getting clogs and residue buildup on the tips pretty much all throughout a print. Not with this baby. This nozzle is so smooth, has handled PLA, PTEG, PP, TPU, ABS, no issues, no buildup, no nothing. You need this nozzle. ... show more

  • The single best upgrade for 3D printing
Size: 0.4mm
I've been 3D printing for a few years. Over this time I've done countless upgrades to my trusty old ender3. Of all of the upgrades I've done, none have made a bigger impact than this nozzle. I can't rave enough about how much this has improved my print quality and consistency. The reliability alone has made me a lifelong customer. Is it expensive? Yup. But the time I've saved is worth the price. Before buying this I felt like dealing with clogs and nozzle replacements was just a necessary evil. Having to pull off the tool head and clean it all up was a pain that I just thought was the norm. But in the 4 months I've had this thing I haven't had to touch my toolhead once. No clogs, nothing. I've been pushing ABS, ASA, PETG, and even some carbon fiber PETG, all of which have printed perfectly. I seriously couldn't ask for a better upgrade. ... show more

  • This nozzle works very well with excellent print quality and a very clean polished tip.
Size: 0.25mm
I highly recommend this sintered diamond nozzle. I had previously used a brass, hardened steel, and even a ruby nozzle. While the others do work, the diamond nozzle has the best performance by far and tends to stay the cleanest compared to the others. Note that with the smaller 0.25 nozzle, the smaller diameter results in a higher back pressure. I found a higher print temperature solved this -- usually 10C or even 20C higher than typically recommended for most filaments. You can easily test this by extruding about 100mm of filament at 1mm/s (very slow) at several temperatures. Measure the diameter of the extruded filament. If the extruded filament has a larger diameter than the nozzle, then increase the nozzle temperature. This will reduce die swell, reduce filament viscosity, reduce jams, improve bed adhesion, improve layer adhesion, and generally result in a better result overall. ... show more

  • What's the deal with this thing???
Size: 0.6mm
Alright. So I've tried a good swath of nozzles through my modified Ender 3 and most have been suitable but I wanted something I could just leave in without having to adjust for the different temperatures of hardened steel or the softness of copper nozzles. Had a Vandium and Bridgemaster from Slice Engineering and while both were fantastic, they just didn't fit with what I needed. Found this nozzle a few weeks ago and sat on it for a while. Reached out to their customer service with some questions and they were more than helpful. But the bullet and bought it. I can confirm that this was the right choice. Without optimizing the profiles for this nozzle prints already come out super clean aside from the top layers, and this is the first nozzle I've ever had that actually doesn't have anything stuck to it's tip. The polished surface of the diamond tip makes layers go down extra smooth, and it shows when it prints. Temperatures are stable and the quality of construction is fantastic of course. (When looking at the picture of the cubes listed from left to right) Did some test cubes with PLA, Wood Fill, TPU, Silk PLA, Carbon Fiber PETG, Glow in the dark PLA, and Regular PETG. Every single one print d fantastic aside from adjustments I need to make in my slicer for this new nozzle. I'm honestly shocked. if you're on the fence about this nozzle, do it. You will not regret it. This is a premium part that offers premium results and one to the very few that I've rated on Amazon giving it 5 stars. SIMPLY SUPERB! Update: 8/11/2022 This thing is still working flawlessly. Have put about 2 kg of carbon fiber PETG through it without issue. One thing to note is to NOT USE A WIRE BRUSH WHEN CLEANING! If a fiber gets caught within the nozzle and gets bent, it can put pressure on the polished diamond edge and break a small sliver off. Didn't happen to me, but happened to a friend. Just use a junk rag to wipe off the nozzle. Do this and it'll last for for a long time to come! ... show more

  • Excellent Customer Service
Size: 0.4mm
I had an issue getting my Diamondback .4 nozzle to print well. I reached out to their customer service dept and got a quick response from Scott. He has the same printer that I have and asked me to send him the STL file that I was trying to print. He printed it on his printer (using the same slicer) and got good results. I was using the same settings on my slicer but not getting good results. He sent me a replacement nozzle, a new roll of filament and a couple of Diamondback T shirts too. With the new nozzle I'm now getting the desired results. Awesome and prompt customer support! ... show more
