This brand is comparable to high-quality brands I've fed my dog in the past, such as Canidae and Blue Buffalo -- but at a significantly lower price. There are a few things I've been particularly pleased about: 1. KIBBLE SIZE: The pieces of the beef kibble are bigger (but not too big) so they're great for larger dogs like mine. She likes the lamb/rice version just as well. Those pieces of kibble are much smaller, which is great if you have large and small dogs in the same household. 2. MINIMAL CRUNCHED UP SEDIMENT: There's some kibble "dust" whenever you purchase large bags of dry dog food, but I'm happy to report that compared to all of the other higher-end brands I've bought before the amount is very minimal. 3. SELL BY DATE IS REASONABLE: When I purchased other brands it was always a guess at how long I'd have before we hit the expiration date on the bag. After multiple orders I can attest to the fact that the sell-by date is many months out which means you're getting a fresher bag of kibble that will last you a bit longer. I'm thrilled to have found this food for my 70-lb Lab Mix. Her "cousin," a 10-pound Chiweenie who visits weekly, likes it as well. (Okay, neither one of them is a particularly picky eater but at least it has their stamp of approval.) My two dogs, 45lbs and 7lbs like this food. The big dog finds it mouthwatering LOL, literal drools as I'm filling her bowl. Both dogs are thriving on this blend. No stomach or skin issues with either dog. I recommend adding just a little water before feeding as it tends to be a bit dry.

the product is great. My dog loves it. It arrives fresh and in a strudy bag that does not rip easily. However, it took way to long to arrive. I got a three day window and then it was late a day after that. Thank you US Postal Service. The app kep telling me it was out for delivery but it did not arrive until a day later. I have 5 large breed dogs and we changed them to a lamb diet about 8 months ago. This product has been consistently nutritious, and my dogs (all bully breed) have performed quite well on it. They are doing well on their vet checkups and don't seem to be having any allergic reactions. We put a wet topper on the kibble and haven't encountered any rejections. It has pretty decent reviews and the price point is perfect for people on budgets or those with multiple dogs but who still want great quality. The product is made in the USA. I have found that there are times in the year when the product is hard to find - especially, in the large (40 lb) bags. As such, I buy 2 x 40 lb. bags at a time to ride these lulls out. ... show more

I started feeding this to my dog when she was a puppy and now she has become addicted to it. All she wants to do is eat it. Sometimes, like this morning, she wakes up at 4:30 in the morning wanting me to get up and feed her. Then at 6:00 PM she is after me to feed her again. A dog her size is supposed to get 2 cups of this food a day and that is what she gets. She’s a chunky little dog so I don’t want to over feed her but if I put the feed in her bowl she would eat it till she gets sick. I sometimes wonder if this stuff has some kind of doggie drug in it.
