This is a solid bed sits low so they can still have wall space to decorate or have a pet net for plushies. They are age 8 and 11 and these beds will last. The upper bunk is lower which makes it easier to change the bedding. I have climbed up on the top bunk and it is very sturdy. It was simple to put together. All of the holes lined up great and were easily in the right places. Some of the pieces, like the pieces that go in the slats to fix them in place, were physically painful to put in. The slats were the hardest part because of that but I guess that means it will do its job and keep everything tight. The rest was pretty simple and straight foreword. I did it by myself with multiple children in the room in 3 hours. Would’ve been much faster with two people and a babysitter. My kids love it and works perfectly to give my kids more room to play. ... show more

It’s perfect! My 1 year old & 5 year old love their new beds. Perfect height, very sturdy, & easy to build. I’m really impressed! I’m 5”3 and I can easily remove the top bedding with no problem. This bed was so easy to put together, it had sooo many pieces so I was scared it was going to be hard but it wasn’t. It’s comfortable for my kids and made very well! It doesn’t make noises like some of those “ cheap “ beds . I was worried about that. My main concern was getting a “ low “ bed because I have a 3 year old and I didn’t want her to get on too and break any bones. This bed isn’t too high or too low , it’s perfect.
