    • Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh owners beware!

I have a Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB case with a x570 Aorus Elite motherboard. If you have this case and your motherboard has USB 3.0 slots only on the bottom, THIS ADAPTER WILL NOT FIT FOR YOU! My motherboard has 2 USB 3.0 slots on the bottom. Because I want to place 2 fans on the bottom as intake, they clash with the needlessly thick USB 3.0 cable from the case. Either I forgo one of the fans and plug in the USB, or I forgo the USB for the fan. Since I don't want to do either, I decided an angle adapter would work so I can just plug it in from below and have room for my 2nd fan. Nope. Because of the Lian Li's design, there's a metal lip that extends out about 2cm. This adapter only goes out to 1.5cm. I immediately found out before even plugging it in that if I did try, all it would do is angle the adapter downwards directly into this metal lip, making it completely useless. So again, if you have this case and your USB 3.0 slots are on the bottom of the motherboard, this adapter will not work! I suggest buying a cable extension with a less bulky plug instead. ... show more

Product works well. Those little tabs that get the device stuck in ypur mobo. Just sand them down a little bit and that problem goes away. I used the nail file on my finger nail clippers. :X

    • Breaks when you remove it

If you were to buy this, I recommend you take extra precaution while removing it. I had put it in my B550 Strix motherboard a bit ago, and then when I tried to re-adjust the connector the contacts broke off from the female connector and is still stuck in there. Not a high quality product which was about what I expected but still not worth the money you spend on it IMO ... show more

For $5-6 bucks it fixes an annoying problem with cable management in many cases. Is it needed? No but it definitely cleans up the look of your case. No more 180 degree bends on one of the thickest cables. I installed Windows 10 through the top case USB 3 ports which goes through this adapter and it took the same amount of time as it does using the motherboard ports. Also tried a wireless mouse dongle, worked as expected. Have not done any speed tests but I'm confident they are unaffected by the adapter. ... show more

I installed this in my PC to relocate the wires to the USB3 connection. My case has a window and I wanted to look clean. Thus said, it was a little short to fit right in my case. I managed and had to try it a couple of times.
