Description

The industrial strength Dexas Duo-Clipcase is a dual-sided storage case and organizer with two full sized compartments. It is made from sturdy break- resistant poly that is rain and weather resistant. The top side is a compartment for forms, tablets or electronics with a smooth writing surface and metal clip. The back side offers additional storage for papers, notepads and more. Elastic bands in both compartments encourage organization and hold papers securely in place. Unlike aluminum cases, the Duo-Clipcase won't dent or scratch desks and other fine surfaces. The Duo-Clipcase withstands high impact use for years. I received the Dexas Duo Clipcase yesterday January 12th, 2019. As I look over it today (January 13th, 2019), I realize it has been used. There are scratches on the back and sides. Also, it looks like it was jammed packed with as much stuff as possible because it does not close properly. Or it is just bent in the middle. I’m not sure. I tried to show that in the pictures I have included with this post. I don’t have anything inside the case yet, so it isn’t because I have it too full. I am very disappointed. I reordered this clip board after returning the first one I bought. Reason being because the first one was damaged the clip on the front was not holding my papers on the left side. When I received the new one today I tested it to see if it was better and it has the same defect plus this second one they sent me looks like it was used already it’s scratched on one side and feels flimsy. ... show more

I own a Dexas product for my side job, have had the same one with no issues for 5 years, so getting one for my regular job was a new brainers. I work in a high production facility and needed something that would be able to handle my 12 hour shifts, being dropped from high places, tossed around from one assembly line to another. I did not buy this for looks, so with all that said, and reading other recommendations heres the low down for me. Its durable and yes I have done all the above within the first week. Yes it does appear to not seem closed or maybe it looks a bit warped, but again I didn't order it for looks, I ordered it for durability. This holds all my papers, scratch sheets, lip balm, a small bottle of aspirin, pens, and a few tools we use on the line, and I still have room for more. It snaps shut and doesn't come undone even when dropped off a crossover ladder/catwalk, it does scare people when that happens..lol, but hey things happen. Bottom line is, if you're looking for something that looks perfect, then this might not be for you, but if you're looking for durability, sturdiness & something too hold your necessities so you can do your job, then this will accomplish that. ... show more

Super Practical. Helps Organization. I really like the idea and have since bought 2 differently designed, similar products of this same brand. The brand IS dependable. Asset: Great to safely carry specific paperwork you want contained and handy to make notes into as you are on the go. They are a little “clunky” to handle. Beauty is not one of the features. These are a little more “industrial looking” than I would usually buy, and at the same time they are truly purposeful in all other ways. ... show more

Being a maintenance technician for a very large property management company, I needed something better than the standard issue aluminum case they handed me. This case is great! I have all of my work orders in the front side with 2 folders to keep completed work orders separate from those still pending and my newest ones. In the back side, I have important documents such as alarm codes to different units, 24 hour notices and inside unit notices. The elastic bands actually help a ton to keep these tags stacked and separated. I couldn't be any happier at this point in this case. The latches can pop off but have not yet. I actually took them off to see how tightly attached they were. The case is pretty light weight and the rubberized corners help a ton to prevent scratching up the floors and tables I lay it down on. I've yet to drop it so I cant speak to its resistance to breaking. UPDATE: I've dropped it a mere 2 feet. The latch on the left side for the underside compartment snapped off. It's still a great product, they just st need a new latch mechanism. Removed one star from rating! ... show more

I've been looking for a clipboard with storage since I foolishly gave away my 1st one years ago. I found one a few years ago; however, it was not as well made as the original one. This one was to replace that one. Unfortunately, I am still not satisfied. It'll do until I find something sturdier and more versatile. When I received it the protective plastic on the outside clip had come off during shipping. Thankfully, it was easy to reattach. Yet that indicates that it will probably not stand up to the wear and tear of my lifestyle. It would have been nice if there was a corresponding clip on both sides of the interior. When you open the top storage area there is a clip with a wide elastic band on the right-hand side and nothing on the left-hand side. It does hold a nice amount of paper. Yet, there isn't much room for multiple pens. I use different colored pens for editing and it is challenging to find room. Maybe something on the left-hand side to hold pens/pencils/etc. And I haven't even mentioned the bottom compartment. It has an elastic band on the right-hand side without even a clip. Very useful tool. You can use as a clipboard, and store paperwork inside one side, with blank forms and supplies on the other side. The one bad part is the hinges, which are simply flat plastic that flexes back and forth. The hinges on my last one lasted 2 years, being used every day. I use this every day in my job. It does have very nice storage, and is very workable for every day use. I noticed the sides on the top clipboard section bows upward on the ends, but doesn't affect it opening and closing. I keep it down low in the truck when not in it to keep it from the sun, but it still bow up some. Worst issue I have with it is the clips to hold it shut. I lost the clip from the bottom part, and have absolutely no clue where it went, and never found it to snap it back on. To me it should be fixed on where it won't come off but it's not. It just has plastic rods and the clips just snap on to it and can come off fairly easily if your not careful. I have accidently removed the clip from the top many times and had to snap it back on. Also it won't open all the way around, only to half way. Other than that it's a nice clipboard case and works pretty well. ... show more
