I bought a house and did a major renovation of the upstairs, and I ended up using these (and the matching outlet covers) enough that I bought more to use in some spots downstairs. They're elegant, they're simple, they lie flush with the wall. The previous homeowner had a lot of chunky ceramic switch plate covers that were really not to my taste (also painted in colors that... really didn't work after I repainted). These are elegant, understated without being fussy. They help make a room look more finished. My house is hold (built c. 1900) and they're the perfect blend of classic and modern (matching my aesthetic). Depending on exactly how the switchplate is installed, you may need slightly longer screws, but they're inexpensive and these switch plate covers are still a good deal. I'm fussy about details and I'm satisfied with them.

These look good and are a good value but scratched very easily while installing but I felt bad for returning for something that I thought was perhaps me just being used to installing sturdier products (just redid dozens of switch plates changing out every single switch plate in our large home and didn't scratch a single one). But then I scratched it with my short natural nails just turning off the toggle and I keep my nails very smooth since we have a little one I don't want to scratch. We got a pack of two that are rarely used spots and both are already very scratched.

I just did a remodel including new paint, carpet and new switch covers. These work fantastically in my yellow room the edges look more yellow. In my green room they look gold and stand out great. In my orange room the edge looks orange. So the plate go with any color I use and make the room even better. I replaced all my switch covers Toggle, Duplex and Decorator. My only wish is they had covers for cable outlets and a 220v outlet which I could not replace. My advice on installing to to use a flat head that is covered with rubber or wrap your screwdriver tip with a paper towel. The screws and plates are easily scraped so you have to be careful. My only issue is with the Decorator Wall plates they have small screws that might not fix some installs. The Toggle and Duplex come with the longer screws. Since I purchased so many I was able to switch up the long and small to make them work but It would be nice to come with both sizes or just the long ones. The short screws seam a little point less to me.
