The ToughSystem DS Carrier allows you to easily transport all your ToughSystem cases on the job site. Technicians, electricians and contractors can all use different combinations, eliminating the need for multiple storage boxes spread throughout the jobsite or workshop. This system offers contractors a means of organizing, sorting and transporting their tools and materials from one jobsite to the next. For trouble-free transportation around the jobsite, the DWST08210 carrier assists professionals in moving heavy materials and storage cases. The carrier can handle materials up to 265 lbs. and features adjustable, foldable brackets for tailored configuration. Contractors can even work directly from the carrier, without having to detach all storage. A central locking mechanism allows the stand-alone storage cases to securely attach to the carrier for easy transport. For jobsite security, padlock eyes permit locking of the stand-alone units. The DEWALT ToughSystem is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

    • Pretty darn good cases
I got these because I got sick of my bags and the lack of organization you get with a bag. I also got these because I don't have to worry about scratching customer floors like my steel boxes would. This system is great. Boxes are probably as tuff as plastic/foam can get, you loose a little bit of space with the reinforcement ribs of the box, but these have plenty of space anyway. I fit my entire cordless system in the large box (hammer drill, impact gun, circ saw, sawzall, jigsaw, grinder, angle drill, charger, and 4 batteries, with room to spare for blades and s***. Medium box, I fit my nail guns (18ga, 16ga, 18ga narrow crown.) and all the nails and staples I would need for a job, with room to spare for some hand tools. Small box is good for pencils, as I lose about 20 a day I can hold extras in here. Fill the trays with screws and hardwares, nothing spills out when shook around, which is nice to have open on the top of the cart to save yourself from working to harding picking crap up from the floor The Cart, not sure about how I feel. the system is great< boxes go on and off easy, really cool design. Its strong and works as an average hand truck well when needed, But it is large(wide) and awkward to store. And for the size I feel that it should be a little beefier to hold more weight that the 250lbs. I wanna be able to put 500lbs on there and not worry. All together its great for moving around, but when you get there, I find the cart gets in the way. But these problems will be fixed with some top secret modifications ill be doing in the future... When these aren't on the job, I use em as coolers, hold camping gear, chairs, step ladders. They are good and flat so you can Stand on em and not wobble around, make benches, or use as saw horses type things. Its also cool that they lock together when stored to slide around together or throw up on a shelf. To damn heavy and big to lock the larger boxes together with tools in em, small boxes are fine. All in All, I did my research before I bought these, and was iffy about buying plastic/foam boxes because I damn for sure hate them with a passion...But these seem to be the best plastic boxes you can get with out spending a fortune on fancy pants cases. Great addition to my garage. It’s sturdy, holding up to 440 lbs, and perfect for keeping my tools organized. I love that it's easy to install on the wall, which helps save floor space, and it works well with DEWALT’s ToughSystem toolboxes. The rack feels super solid, and it’s made to last. The engineering in this system is superb. As an engineer myself I can appreciate the dozens of little details in the system that had to have taken a lot of thought, time, and prototyping. First of all, the stackability. The boxes not only stack, but firmly fall into place so they don't slide off. They also lock together. On cases with a lid, a convenient recess for placing a label tape is visible even when stacked tightly. Of course, stacked and locked together is great for transportation, but not for day to day use. This is where the racking system comes into play. Dead simple to assemble and very sturdy. I will say that that carrier brackets gave me a lot of trouble until I realized it was all operator error. Using the wrong tool for the job. It is difficult to get the bolt to engage the nut with an Allen wrench, even a a good size t-handle wrench. However, a Allen bit on a 12 inch extension bit attached to a drill does the trick with no problem - it allows you to hold the bracket in place with one hand and drive the bolt home with the other. So as I say, this was totally my issue and not the bracket design. I would like to see one small design change here, however: Graduated markings on the square tubing to allow easy alignment of a pair of brackets would be great. A tape measure works, but takes time and is difficult to manage while holding the bracket in place. If I was to build these again, I would lay out all the square tubing together and mark them with a framing square. I have the small, medium and open tote cases and they are all great. I want to comment specifically on the small case though. It is an amazingly flexible case. You can leave all the plastic organizers in it and store small tools/parts, or remove some or all of them. One of my favorite features are the groves in the lid that catch the edges of the organizers - this means if you configure a case with only some of the organizers installed they are still captured securely and don't slide around - no matter where you place them. I have also found the small bins built into the lids to be helpful. These bins fold down and fall into slot molded into the edge of the case, which props the lid open and allows you to access the two bins without needing to hold the lid open. One of the bins is has no dividers, and the other is divided in to smaller sections. The case has handles on the sides, front, and top making it easy to cary anyway that is convenient. ... show more
