Have had this set since December 2014 and had absolutly no issues as of yet. Originally I thought my 2nd battery was trash since the set was new but come to find if you don't have it in the charger correctly/completly it will fault out and not give it a charge at all making you think the battery pack has taken a dump. Please make sure it is correctly in the charger. My favorite tool out of this set so far is definitely the impact. Mostly because the easy of changing the bits are easy enough to be 1 handed and almost uninterrupt my focus from the current task at hand. Using it almost on a daily basis for a variety of jobs, the battery life while using this tool is amazing. Can go on for about 2 hrs of on/off usage and still have power to spare. My second favorite tool is the flashlight which is a huge improvement over the previous 18v set. Has enough brightness from this light alone that while working at night and depending on the job i usually dont have to set up and additional lighting. And the fact that it has a long lasting led and the lithium ion pack the life I could leave the light on for almost a continuous 3 hrs without the battery being drained completely. The circular saw is defiantly handy especially if the job isn't to extensive and mostly depending on the saw itself, otherwise it is just easier to run an extention cord. The saw has a tremendous amount of power especially since it is only from the small 20v power supply. The battery life isn't as great but is as expected since it is a heavy load for the demand being drawn from it. And finally the drill. It is as great as I had hoped which is as comparable as the impact but just not as useful because i favor the impact more. I have used both simotaniously while on the job and have been flawless. If i have a drill bit that doesn't have the bit end on it i am left with needing to use the drill reguardless. Over all the entire set has been great with absolutely no issues as of yet with 1 year of use. Am defenitly going to purchase another set this season since it just is a deal to sweet to pass up. ... show more

Got this during either Black Friday or Cyber Monday - can't remember - it's all a blur now. Either way I have a Craftsman cordless drill that I have been using for some time now and the battery is pretty much kaput. This deal came around and I'm so glad I grabbed it because I was looking at similar impact drivers for around the same price as I got this whole set. And on top of that you get a drill, a flashlight and a circular saw. The kit comes with 2 batteries and while I haven't used them enough to know about their longterm life or quirks, I can say that I am impressed with how light they are compared to my Craftsman batteries. The tools themselves are suitably rugged, yet light, which is great from an ergonomic standpoint. I really can't wait to use the circular saw, it just feels great to hold a cordless saw in your hand. The only part of the kit that I question is the giant bag that it comes with. I guess if you are a contractor or transport the tools around with you on a regular basis, it could be useful. Since I am really only using these tools at home, one at a time, it would have been better for me if they came with individual cases or bags for each tool. Everything in the kit is okay. Both drivers work very well, and with more power than I expected from cordless tools. The saw works great. It has more torque than I expected and should do everything that my no-name brand corded saw would do, and more. The light works, but I expected it to be more robust and heavier-duty than it is, but it is just a light. All said and done, I think that this set of DeWalt cordless tools is one of the best bargains that I have ever found. I would not hesitate to recommend this set of tools to anyone looking to purchase this type of tool kit. Still a great set of tools for the money. Does anyone know how to get the DeWalt website to recognize this tool kit, and or the individual tools to register for the warranty? I tried, but it would only let me register the DCL040 light ... show more

I really like this DeWalt 4-tool package, but both batteries will no longer take a charge. My rating is based on the longevity of the batteries. I used the driver & drill to build both of my decks. The batteries held up quite well for this project. Now, the batteries (2) show no storage of power, and when I place them on the charger, the charger indicates they are fully charged, but they are still dead! These batteries are not cheap. I feel I did not get the satisfaction in the product which, in the past. I had enjoyed from DeWalt. Idid receive new batteries from DeWalt & have had no more problems with the batteries. Love my Desalts! ... show more

Good set overall. I much prefer this to the Dewalt sets that only offer the sawzall. I use a circular saw much more often. The saw is almost full sized and cuts through 2 by's no problem. Ships with a good quality full kerf construction blade. Battery life is great and the recharge time is very short. The flashlight is very bright with a focused light beam. A broader diffused light beam would be better as a work light. I love the impact driver... Not sure how I lived my life without one. The fact that both the driver and drill have built in lights is very handy. Batteries are easy to take on and off (i can do it with one hand). Really the only reason for the 4 star rating is the original posting said the saw had a magnesium plate shoe instead of the actual steel plate shoe. That said, the weight off the saw even with a steel shoe is not bad and much more convenient / lightweight than using my 8 1/2" corded circular. ... show more
