I wish I purchased this years ago, it is such a useful functional tool. From cutting wood and drywall to removing grout it makes the job so much easier. Depending on how big the job is you may need a different tool but for small home projects and areas this works fantastic. I also have interchangeable batteries for my drills so I always have a spare ready to go once the existing one dies. I’ve seen countless YouTube videos raving about oscillating saws, but I always thought they were one of those “nice-to-have” tools rather than a necessity. That all changed when I had to cut baseboard for a project—suddenly, I understood the hype. The DeWalt Oscillating Saw isn’t just useful; it’s an absolute game-changer. From precision cuts to tackling tough jobs in tight spaces, this tool has quickly become one of my go-to favorites in the workshop. Versatility & Power in One Tool The range of things this saw can do is incredible. Woodworking, metal cutting, plumbing, trimming baseboards, removing nails—you name it. It’s especially great for jobs where a regular saw just won’t fit. The power is excellent, and the variable speed trigger gives you a ton of control, making it easy to get smooth, precise cuts without overdoing it. It’s also comfortable to hold, with a solid grip that doesn’t cause fatigue during longer jobs. The Only Drawback—Blade Compatibility If there’s one minor complaint, it’s that not all blades are universal. When I went to Lowe’s to grab some replacements, I realized that many other brands didn’t fit because they had one too many teeth for DeWalt’s mounting system. The DCS356 itself works great—5-star performance for power and control. However, my package was missing the universal accessory adapter (and possible hex key(s)). There was also no packing slip or "what's in the box" insert to verify missing items. When I reached out to DeWalt, they offered no help and simply passed me off to Amazon. Amazon initially directed me back to the seller using the exact same contact info I had just used for DeWalt. To Amazon's credit, once we realized the loop, support gave me a partial credit so I could buy an aftermarket adapter. I'm knocking off one star due to DeWalt's unhelpful customer service for an item missing straight out of their box, but the tool performance gets high marks. ... show more
