Style: Impact Wrench Kit Only
This thing is freaking amazing! I've had this for just shy of a year now, and it's one of the best tools I've ever purchased. While I was looking, I kept reading reviews of people who wanted this impact to take off lug nuts to do tire rotations and things of that nature. I personally don't see why you need an impact to take off lug nuts, but to each his own. I wanted to know how it handled suspension bolts, rusted truck bolts. You know, stuff that actually requires some force and work to get off. However, 98% of the reviews were, "takes my lug nuts off easy". For those of you who want to know how this performs on something other than a few lug nuts, this is for you. I initially purchased this impact for suspension work I was about to do which required me to take off an axle nut. The last time I attempted to take an axle nut it took me 30 minutes of standing on a breaker bar and jumping up and down. I did NOT want to go through that again. So, I bought this. This thing didn't even blink at the axle nut. I had that nut off in a mere two seconds. I was stunned. There has been nothing that this thing hasn't taken right off for me. I usually start out on lowest setting, give a quick pull of trigger, if that doesn't do anything then I moved to middle setting. Then, if that doesn't work, I go to highest setting. Very few times have I even had to go to the highest setting. 80% of the time I've broken nuts/bolts on the middle setting and didn't even need to go to the highest. But, when I have, it's nothing for this impact. Yes, this thing will make quick work of your lug nuts and help speed up your tire rotations. However, if that's your primary purpose, this thing seems waaayy overkill for that job. I would recommend saving a few $$ and get something a little cheaper. However, if you want something that works on those really torqued bolts or rusted nuts, this is the one you want! If I had to give a negative about this impact, it's the size. It is bulky and hard to get in certain areas, but I figured that was going to be the case before I bought it. The battery lasts quite a while as well. I've done a whole job and still had at least two bars left. It really is a great tool. I just used it yesterday to replace two engine mounts, and I thought, "I should really write a review on this". I don't write many. ... show more

  • Love this thing. Use it every chance I get
Style: Impact Wrench Kit Only
I'm a big dewalt fan. But putting brand aside I wanted to get a new impact wrench since my old one was a cheap one that like to just shut off. Anyways put this thing through the ringer and its going on strong. I have a few nit picks. The weight. I feel like it could be a little bit lighter. But its not a huge deal. I only do mechanic work. This is more then enough for DIY use. But even just for shop use I would recommend this all the way. If your looking for something reliable and you never gotta worry about a bolt. This is it. I think the price is justified however I wish it came with another battery. Not a big deal either. Just another nit pick. If your looking for a good quality impact wrench you've found it. Also make sure your home when it get delivered!!! It ships in a dewalt box. So if your worried about package thieves you should be home when it gets delivered!! Buddy of mine had his stolen off his doorstep and had to wait a couple of weeks to get another in the mail. Thank you! ... show more

  • 5 years on and still like new.
Style: Impact Wrench Kit Only
Whips off lug nuts and stuck suspension bolts with ease. Purchased in 2018 and I wish I bought it sooner. It has saved my hands a lot of wear and tear. Battery still holds a full charge.

  • Detent is the way to go And plastic protective boot cover info Buy that also
Style: Impact Wrench Kit Only
Bought this one with the 2 battery set i was worried about the detent pin Honestly its the way to go over hog ring keeps the socket on their better and takes slight force to pull off but it feels more secure. I went from an ingersoll 19.2v Impact it was almost 7 years old and couldnt get the batteries for it. rated around 400ft lbs something like that. This man the torque on 3rd gear Insane. flash light is bright. It heavy but its an cordless impact what do you want. Quality here. So I have 2 gripes with this tool. One its yellow and gets dirty So Easy. and 2nd which this inst the tools fault but dewalt / Stanley MAKE a Cover for it. my old IR and MIlwak snap make a plastic cover that goes over the tool to protect it. The metal housing is already got some nicks and chips missing from using this very little. BUT O wait They do make a cover under Mac tools Which is a sub company of Stanley. For this exact tool they Make under mac tools name. gotta love re badge engineering. Just got it today Fits like a glove took a little heat from blowdryer but got it over and works great. Oh and they have a Battery Cover too Look at that, which should fit the 3-5ah batteries. Stanley if your reading just skim coat over Dewalt and make this tool look good for ages. to find said boots Google mac tools cordless tool protective boots and under there you'll find the battery and impact boots there. think i spent 24 on the 2 not bad to protect a $300 tool. ... show more
