First test out of the box: My 2005 ford explorer lug nuts. I personally do my tire rotations. This gun removed said lug nuts @ 100 ft/lbs. like butter. Don't know why people are saying this gun is not up to spec. Put them back on the rim @ high setting for approx. 2 seconds after bottoming out, then put the torque wrench on them. The 2 I tested, were approx. 95-100 ft/lbs. +/- 4%. For me it worked perfect, just like all my other tools on the 20v Dewalt platform. I am very happy with this purchase. I will update this review once I have real world tested it on the job site with some heavy duty concrete anchors. I am a commercial steel stud framer, we work with mostly 18 - 14 ga studs, some heavier but not often. Shear walls require a boat load of 3/8 to 3/4 hilti KH-EZ concrete screw anchors 8"-16" on center, 4" - 10" embedment. I'll update once I am able to use it on the some of those. ... show more

I bought this as an upgrade from my pneumatic impact wrench to work on my cars. Obviously, the battery is more convenient than the hose. But it's also lighter when using a 2mA or 3mA battery. I have also used it with a 6mA and 9mA battery (60V) and that gets a little heavy. I haven't had any other battery impact wrenches, but this DeWalt was more comfortable to handle and easier to switch from F to R and back than my friend's Milwaukee. The detent pin holds very well. I was a little concerned since my old impact was a hog ring, but I have had no issues with the sockets pulling off. The force is good. It pulled bolts out well, and the only bolt it was not able to remove was a large control arm bolt that I wasn't able to break loose with a breaker bar either.
