I bought these batteries with the fast charger for my husband who uses a grinder to work with wood, mostly making walking sticks. It helps him get the rough stuff off fast, saving him time. I read in the reviews/question thing that someone said the batteries lasted 30-40 minutes with a grinder working hard. The batteries only last 15 minutes each with my husband working the wood hard. So either I misunderstood that person, or he was putting the time together with two of these batteries. In any case, for the price I'm not thrilled. I recently purchased a dewalt cordless leaf blower, and because of all the trees in our backyard, i use it twice a day in summer to keep our back patio clean. Having the larger battery really helps heaps in blowing leaves. Batteries tend to drop in power somewhat when they are close to out, so having a 6ah instead of 4ah makes a difference to how long i can use it AND how powerful the leaf blower is for that time. These are the 1st 20v 6 AH batteries I’ve bought. Normally I buy the 5 AH, but these were a better deal at the time. They are significantly bigger and heavier than the 5AH. This isn’t a complaint. Just be aware what to expect. They have worked great so far. No complaints about the performance.

As expected except power connector has slightly more play than the other 10 dewalt battery pack I own. This means that when I put it on the charger, I need to make sure it seats well or it will not fully charge. Similarly, if something gets bumped while charging, it may also stop charging. Same behavior on first three dewalt chargers I tried and only an issues with the 6 AHr batteries and same issue with both 6 AHr batteries ... show more

The 6amp battery runs my Dewalt weedeater for about 1 hour, with continuous use, on extremely tall grass / weeds ( +16" ). Will run my Dewalt chainsaw for 80 - 90mins of continuous use cutting 4 - 8" limbs.

    • Issue with one battery

So I've had my batteries for almost a year. One of the batteries will not charge any more. Its sad because these have some good juice in them. I thought it was a fake dewalt battery at first because the code on the battery doesn't come up found on dewalts website. I think that is an item scan error because it happened with 2 different batteries, 1 from Amazon 1 from home depot. Only 1 battery ive noticed so far out of 5 that I have doing this though. I'd love to give 5 stars but just the hassle of getting a replacement will be annoying. I did search for issues on this battery though and someone had the exact issue I had. He goes through details of how the battery just lost some of its 20v charge and did something not recommended to fix his battery but it did resolve the issue and the battery is now charging again. I can't be 100% certain his method is a permanent fix. I also can't explain why it loses some of its charge to not recharge when this happens, but, just some info to throw out there. Otherwise I would've given 5 stars for length of use, power when charged and I have been using it for saws, drills, and sanders. I do enjoy dewalt but it's a mild disappointment for this big 6ah battery (NOT FLEXVOLT) ... show more

They get the job done and two batteries for the price of one is a great deal but they definitely don’t hold a charge as long as other batteries it depends on what you’re using them for though. I would definitely recommend these batteries for anyone just have a charger on hand lol. Oh and y’all like my saw. ... show more
