I picked this up to help organize my office and was pleasantly impressed. Once assembled it fit quite nicely in the spot where my old metal file cabinet stood providing additional space for books and a printer. The item arrived in good condition and well packaged. Assembly took about an hour and 30 minutes. The provided directions were skimpy but easy enough to understand even if your only slightly handy with tools. For this project I would suggest a decent philips head screwdriver and most definitely do not use a power drill. The manufacture does include a screwdriver but it is very small and will quickly become tiresome to use. Because the material is pressboard it is very important one takes his or her time threading in the screws. Over tightening is guaranteed to strip out the pre-drilled holes. Same goes for installing the railings for the drawers. You need to ensure the screws are inserted in straight. If they go in at an angle you run the risk of the causing the drawers to stick or drag when opening and closing. It also help to have an open area to spread out all the parts to make assembly easier. For a sub 100 dollar cabinet you really cannot go wrong. Just remember to take your time, read the instructions thoroughly, and enjoy the added space and storage. ... show more

Pretty sturdy and compact office cabinet. The most difficult part is assembly - took me two hours with an electric screw driver. The instructions are pretty straightforward. The difficulty of assembly comes with the premade holes and screws provided. When you first try to screw them in, they keep tilting different ways because the premade holes aren’t good enough. My cabinet has tilted screws but it still holds up. Not sure if it’s premade holes or that the material that the cabinet is made out of is janky so it’s harder to put together. its not the best quality and its not the worst. It is good for the price and sturdy. Instructions are a bit much and assembly while I did alone I suggest having someone help. Overall, it beats Ikea price, lol

You get what you pay for tbh. If you're expecting a piece that will hold up against time and fair amounts of wear and tear then look for something else. This is nice but it will not last long. It took forever to build by myself but the instructions are not hard to follow, imo. The wheels are also not bad, as in they don't get stuck. Overall I'm happy with it, it's about what I expected, and if it breaks in a year or two I feel like that's fair. ... show more

This is the sixth piece of home office furniture I have assembled this year, and overall I would say it was one of the more difficult pieces to assemble. It took me (yikes!) 3 hours and 20 minutes start to finish. I lost probably 40 minutes because of inaccuracy in the diagram on page 7 (step 3). See the photo with my note. In the diagram, E1 appears to reach all the way to the back of sides 2 and 3; but it does NOT. I just lingered there a long time thinking I was doing something wrong. And the step at the bottom of the same page, screwing E1 into the sides with two screws each, is simpler than it looks. You just have to move the slide forward some to access holes 1 and 10. I lost some time there too. Another confusing point for me is on page 15, Step 16. See my photo above with the note. The E2 diagram on the bottom of the page is how it looks on the Left side; on the right, E2 is flipped over (NOT turned around pointing the other way) so that the plastic spring that looks kind of like a lightning bolt is upside down from what you see in the picture. Having pointed out these couple of issues, I did get it together "in one try" without having to disassemble anything and re-do along the way. Like many others, I had trouble with the instructions for the bottom drawer rails. The illustrations did not work for the parts I had and the pictures of instructions posted by other reviewers did not match the instructions I received. I finally went to a similar product listing to view their assembly video and was able to get them on correctly. When I assembled this cabinet, most of the wooden dowels punched through to the other side of the top or bottom panel they were connecting to when I tightened the cams, despite having hammered the dowels down as far as they would go before putting it together. It tore off chunks of the white layer and surrounding particleboard, so now there are a lot of craters with the particleboard showing. The panels are ½ inch thick, which is pretty thin in my opinion. I bought this cabinet because it looked like it matched my other cabinet purchased from another vendor and I was pleased with that one. My other cabinet has panels that are ¾ inch thick but cost about the same when I bought it a few months ago. I will use this until it completely falls apart, which will likely be within a month or two, but I am very unhappy with this purchase. ... show more
