I enjoy this filing cabinet thoroughly. It is pretty, has a lock, plenty of space to store files, and two shelves for books. It organizes my workspace so I have everything I need at my fingertips. The only downfall is the amount of time it took to put together. When I pulled out the hardware and saw packet "z" I knew I was in for an all afternoon project. It ended up taking about 2 hours to put together (which is about the same amount of time it took me to put together an Ikea king storage bed and headboard). The media could not be loaded. This file cabinet is very sturdy, it was easy to assemble, and has a nice finish. Delivery took a little longer than expected, but it was worth the wait.

I almost declined this delivery after the shipment arrived two weeks late. However, I’m very glad that I decided to keep this purchase. This was my second file cabinet purchase from Devaise, and this assembly seemed much easier than the first. I really appreciated the extra parts that were provided, as they definitely came in handy. The unit is very sturdy and looks quite attractive in our office. Assembly took me roughly 2 hours with a number of breaks in between. All in all, great purchase! ... show more

It is sturdy directions were ok to follow. My biggest pet peeves on the diagram you have the metal side rail diagram incorrect the picture shows the rail behind the drawer and ironically if you lign up the wholes with opens it will line up. But it shouldn't. Also charge an extra 5 or 10 dollars and put those on before they are in the box. That was a pain. Wood around the wholes was a little flakey but everything was fine. Top drawer wholes were not drilled all the way through since the handles are so low profile these could have been installed before delivery as well. ... show more

    • Make some time to assemble this
It took me a little over 2 hours (mind you I was assembling it pretty slow). One look at the instructions and I was feeling kinda intimated nevertheless once I started it all fell into place. I would recommend you use an electric drill since theres a lot of screws. All pieces arrived in great condition and nothing was out of place.     • This is the unit I wanted!
I was sent the incorrect unit, but by the time my son-in-law unpacked it and put it in place, he loved it and didn't want to exchange it. SO... I never requested an exchange. The shipping was fast and quality good. I would have no problem ordering from this company again.

    • Its ok but tricky
The instructions weren't incredibly clear & I ended up putting together the first 2 side pieces flipped. Weird part was I didn't discover this til the very end when trying to put the drawers in! I had to completely take the thing apart! Pain! And why everything matched all the way through the build was beyond me. So please realize that the locking bracket goes on the right side, not left! ... show more

    • Not easy to assemble.
I like the look of the filing cabinet, but it is very hard to assemble. The pilot holes for screws on the drawers for the slides are not in the right spot. The slides come assembled and together, however the directions want you to attach 1/2 the slide to the stand and the other half to the drawer. I could not get them apart do I had to assemble the drawers, drill holes and try and align the cabinets. Now it does not lock easily for me but this could be due to misalignment with the drawers on my part. I also had issues with part labeling, it would be in the directions labeled K1 but the actual part is labeled K. I still enjoy my cabinet, but it was difficult to build. ... show more
