The parts felt lighter than oem but they did bolt up and a much smoother ride. Hopefully theyll hold up for more than 5 years. I been buying from Detroit axle havent had an issue yet despite seeming to be a "value" brand.

All parts arrived matched except one. One of the inner tie rods was the wrong part. Read several comments about this being a known problem. Hope they read the customers comments and correct this issue.

Buyer beware. I bought this kit and when it arrived I checked each part number against the packing list. I noticed that the part number for the outer tie rods did not match the packing list. I called Detroit Axle and and explained this to them after getting on their web site and confirming this myself. After speaking to them the guy looked up the part number and agreed it was the wrong part. They had me send the tie rods back to them. After a week I heard nothing so I called them. After speaking to another customer rep she told me that the part number was a compatible replacement part and the person who I spoke to apparently didn't know what they were talking about ( her words) so I asked if they had already sent it to me and she said no and that she would send it out. So after another week I finally received the part. Now this is a 2 week delay. I put one on and when I went to the other side the tie rod only threaded on about 2 turns. I went to a local auto parts store and we looked at 3 different manufactures and sure enough, the tie rods Detroit Axle sent me were about 2 inches shorter. I then called Detroit Axle back and explained this to them. After speaking to two different people I was told that they have been aware that the replacement part does not work and they would refund me about $10 apiece. Now I have to go and spend an additional $80 for 2 Tie Rods. My question is WHY are they still selling the kit knowing that the outer tie rod is incompatible and they do not stock the correct part at this time. If you plan on buying this plan on spending an additional $80. I personally will never buy another part from them for the simple reason that they did not even try to make it right, like refunding me the total price for the inconvenience or at least the cost of having to go buy the part from someone else after knowing that the replacement part was not correct. This has caused a 3 week delay on finishing the vehicle.
